AOC adds two new Gaming monitors to Agon 3 series

AOC has been into new for their new gaming products since quite few time. Now they have announced two more new gaming focused monitors in their Agon 3 monitor series. A fast, as well as accurate monitor, is very crucial for an HD gaming experience. And it looks like AOC has come up with these new monitors keeping high definition gaming experience in mind. One of them is a G-sync gaming monitor while the other one is a FreeSync 2 gaming monitor. The two AOC monitors are special since they offer a very little response time of 0.5 milliseconds.

For those who have very little idea how it matters, a normal TN panel has an average response time of 5 milliseconds. The notebooks that most of the people use possess IPS panels and they have a response time of around 30 to 60 millisecond.

However, the AOC monitors, with so little response time and with super high refresh rate and along with the sync technology, have emerged as two amazing options for the gamers to grab right away.
Both the new AOC monitors spread 27 inches in diameter and feature a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440. Another best thing about them is that they are curved in design.

However, there are some minute differences in both the gaming monitors. One of the offers 144 Hz refresh rate along with FreeSync and HDR support for better color output. On the other hand, the better one feature refresh rate of 165 Hz and a VA panel for much better as well as accurate color detailing but does not features HDR.

But, there is one bad news. Both of these monitors will be launched next year. The company has given no official date, but looking at various sources, we can expect the monitor with FreeSync to hit the European market in April 2018. The consumers will have to pay around $715 or 600 Euro for it. While the other monitor which features G-Sync technology will be available in the month of May 2018 and consumers will have to pay $835 or 700 Euro for it.

Samsung CHG90 Launched -Largest Ultra-wide QLED Gaming Monitor

Monitors are in trend right now and every tech giant is coming up with better and bigger screens for the consumers year after year. Earlier this year, we got a look at the super wide monitor from Samsung that was expected to be 49-inch wide. Now, Samsung has officially introduced this huge monitor in the market and the company is claiming it to be the world’s largest QLED gaming monitor as well. This new Samsung CHG90 Gaming monitor has been specially designed to offer IMAX-style viewing angles and experience to the gamers right in front of their desk.

It is hard for normal users to imagine the curvature and design of this gaming monitor. In order to help you, just imagine this new monitor as a concatenation of two 27 inch monitors that have been merged in between resulting in 49 inches with a curvature of 1800r. The huge Samsung monitor offers32:9 aspect ratio along with 3840 x 1080 screen resolution operating at a refresh rate of 144 Hz. However, the users have an option to switch to 60Hz or 120 Hz FPS when needed. In addition to that, the screen has an amazing response time of 1 millisecond.

The new Samsung CHG90 features the new Samsung Quantum Dot technology with support for HDR. However, early rumors told us that the monitor will be based on a VA panel. But that has not been officially confirmed by the Samsung officials. For those who do not know what VA panels are, they take midway between the IPS and TN panels offering better color and contrast output to the users when compared to TN panels but with less response time when compared to IPS display panels.

Seog-gi Kim, the Executive vice president of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display business said, “Gamers can have a more immersive and realistic experience with the new CHG90 monitor”. He also added, “This is the latest in our series of innovative monitors designed to delight users and give them an edge over competitors while also increasing their comfort.”.

Samsung has come up with this monitor especially for those gamers who have been using two monitors in combination in order to enhance their gaming experience. They think that their new CHG90 gaming monitor will provide the gamers a better solution to this problem.

Company was found saying that, “gamers no longer have to worry about multi-monitor set-ups: with no bezels impeding the view and a single power cable for minimal clutter, gamers can multitask seamlessly”. “n addition, the Easy Setting Box enables gamers to partition the screen or display multiple screens of different sizes with just one click, and the Picture-by-Picture functionality allows them to connect and view input sources without degrading the original image quality.”, they added.

The players or users have an option to play around with the height of the monitor with the help of swivel that you get along with it. There are two HDMI ports made available by the company to connect PCs and other devices. There is one display port on the monitor and one audio port.

There was no mention of the price of the monitor but they did tell that the monitor will hit the German as well as the European market in some time. They are planning to showcase the monitor in the IFA 2017 meet to be held in Berlin next month.

How to Play Xbox One Games on PC – The Ultimate Guide

Recently Microsoft has been bringing forward a lot of new products in the market. Not only that, they are also focusing a lot more on the gaming vertical that they were in earlier years. The company has been trying hard to merge the Windows as well as the Xbox platforms in order to offer better gaming experience and to break the console and PC barrier that have been hindering the gaming development for years. They have the vision to bring out a universal Windows platform that could serve both the regular users as well as gamers.

I the E3 conference held last year in 2016, Microsoft said that they are bringing party games that will also be made available for Windows 10 operating system, and there will be no games that will come out just exclusive for Xbox One console. Also, with the release of Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft also added an option to stream all the Xbox games on your device running on Windows 10, no matter it is PC, laptop, tablet or a smartphone.

With this new feature, you now no longer have to worry if you are playing your favorite game on Xbox and you father comes in to watch TV, you can easily shift your game and stream it on PC or laptop continuing from where you left.
However, for most of you, streaming the Xbox games on other devices is unknown. So, in this article, we are going to help you to play Xbox games on your PC and other devices.

What do you Need?

  • First of all, you will need a PC or MAC that has Windows 10 installed in it. In case you do not know how to install Windows operating system on your Windows, you can check it out here. For installing Windows 10 on your Mac, you can follow this tutorial.
  • You will also need a Xbox One console as well as a cable to connect your console to Windows 10 PC. You can either go for wireless connection or wired connection, but we would recommend you to have a wired connection with the console to experience lag free streaming.
  • You also need to make sure that the firmware of both your PC and console is upgraded to the latest version. If you do not know how to do that, we have a step below which you can follow in order to upgrade the firmware on both of the devices.

  • You will also need an Xbox controller for navigation through the interface. You can not use mouse or touchscreen to navigate through Xbox menus on your PC.
  • A Micro USB cable for connection.

Steps to Play Xbox One Games on PC

Updating the Firmware

The first thing that you need to make sure so that you can play Xbox One games on your PC, is that you have the latest firmware installed on both your console and machine. This is a very crucial step and should not be ignored because you won’t be able to proceed with the process if you do not complete it.

One simple way to update your Windows PC is to click on Cortana and the ask her to “Check for Updates”. If there are any new updates available for download, it will show you the option to update it. You can check for updates in your console by going into Settings and then to Systems and then into Console Info. If there is any latest version available, you will be able to download it from there. However, you will have to make sure that both your PC as well as the console is connected to the internet for downloading the updates.

You will have to enable the Game streaming on your Xbox console. In most of the console, the setting is disabled by default. Go into that and then select the option “game streaming to other devices”.

Connecting your PC to Xbox

To connect your PC and console, you will have to open the default Xbox application present in your Windows PC. You will have to add your console to your devices. In order to do that, click on the Connection icon that you can find just above the Gear icon in your Xbox application. You will be able to see a list of available devices available for connection on the screen. In case you are not able to see the lost, you will have to enter your console’s IP address in your PC manually. To get the IP address of your console, you need to go to your console’s Settings and then to Network. There you will be able to find an option named Advanced Settings. You will be able to see the console’s IP address on the screen.

Connecting the Xbox controller to PC

Connecting your Xbox console to your PC won’t connect the Xbox controller as well. However, connecting the controller to PC is not at all a tough task. Similar to Xbox console, you can connect the Xbox controller to PC through a USB cable wire or wirelessly. But to connect it wirelessly, you will need the Xbox one Wireless Adapter for Windows.

However, things are a bit different with the new Xbox One S controller which already possess a built-in Bluetooth driver which could be connected to the PC without any kind of adapter or dongle. For those who have Xbox Elte Controller, they can connect those to PC with the help of Xbox Accessories application that could be downloaded from the Windows app store. The gamers with Xbox Elte controllers also have the option to map as well as configure the controller with the help of the Accessories application.

Streaming Xbox One Games on PC

Once you have completed all the steps that have been mentioned above, you will be able to see a clickable button named “Stream” in the Xbox application. Clicking on that, all the games on your Xbox will start streaming on your PC. There are various settings in the app that you can play with including the streaming quality of the game. To change the streaming quality, head on to Settings and then to Xbox One. There you will find Video Encoding Level option which will be set to medium by default. You can change it to low or high depending on how much bandwidth you have on your connection.

While you are streaming any game on your PC, you will also see a toolbar at the top of the screen. This toolbar will offer you a lot of options like to pause or stop the streaming, to turn the mic on or off etc. These handy tools help in enhancing the overall gaming experience of the player.

Well, that is all you have to do. After you are done playing the game on your PC, just click on Stop Streaming button to end your session as well as PC streaming. It is one of the best features that Microsoft have introduced in the Windows 10 OS for the gamers. However, we would like them to bring the same streaming functionality over the internet. If you have any problem in the problem, please share with us in the comments below.

FIFA 18 – Everything You Need to Know! – (Post Release Update)

Here’s everything you need to know about EA Sports’ upcoming football game FIFA 18 – including features, demo, Ultimate Team, stadiums, ratings, The Journey, review and much, much more!

What’s New in FIFA 18?

  • There is a massive change to Ultimate Team – including 3 new modes
  • More news expected at this month’s Gamescom in Cologne
  • Cristiano Ronaldo appears on the cover of the game. However, he is not the highest rated player in the game, Pele is.
  • Chinese Super League NOT included
  • FIFA 18 will launch on September 29, demo to drop two weeks before
  • Xbox 360 / PS3 versions run on old engine
  • EA has still not revealed the Ultimate Team, but they are going to reveal it at GAMESCOM convention.
  • Beta version is already released on August 18 – here’s how to get involved

It’s a matter of weeks rather than months until FIFA 18 hits the markets – and with so much news going around, it’s hard to keep track of it all.

Thankfully, we’ve pulled together all the key bits for you – from the best console to play it on to how to get a hold of the game early.

What platforms is it on?

FIFA 18’s lead consoles will be the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.

It’ll also come on on Xbox One, Ps4, PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Nintendo Switch. There were some small prints in the FIFA 18 trailer. But after the gameplay, we can see it a lot more realistic. It also shows EA focusing more on the next generation console, Wii.

Will FIFA 18 look better on current-gen platforms?

Yes but don’t expect a huge improvement. It’ll be powered by the same engine. One gamer has taken some footage of  FIFA 18 at E3 and posted it on to FIFA Reddit. If we talk about Dream Team Gaming, Jonas Skantz, Frostbite Studio Director revealed: “I can assure you that Frostbite continues to be a true differentiator. More and more games coming from Frostbite whether it is FIFA, Battlefield or others our development teams can spend more time building new ground breaking gameplay innovations until they succeed.”

While graphics took a very large improvement this year, especially with facial and player animations, FIFA 18 will see more improvements as it’ll run on the same Frostbite 4 engine.

What about the Nintendo Switch version?

The relationship between FIFA and Nintendo is a very good one. When the Wii launched in 2012, it took 3 months for FIFA 13 to make its way on to the console.

When it finally comes, it is still lacking the most popular modes of Ultimate Team and gameplay was too far away compared with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

FIFA games were scrapped from the Wii, with EA focusing efforts on the then next generation and the aging Wii.
The arrival of the Nintendo Switch has a new fresh start for the relationship between the Japanese manufacturer and EA.

Speaking at a FIFA 18 event in London last 1 month ago, EA producer Sam Rivera reassured gamers that the Switch version is more than just an afterthought.

It’s being created in a very serious way – the gameplay, it’s fun and different.

Players will be able to play FIFA 18 on the go

The Switch has already proven itself as a brilliant, so being able to play the full game (not just the Web App) on the go will give this version the edge. Hopefully, FIFA has been ‘custom built’ for Nintendo’s new hardware. It may not use the latest Frostbite technology but the gameplay is sleek, responsive and runs at 70FPS.

A battery life of up to six hours makes it perfect for long journeys.

Does FIFA 18 has Ultimate Team?

Until and unless you have Wifi you’ll be able to play Ultimate Team and buy packs as you normally would.

There are no featuring Champions in FIFA 18.

How are the graphics and presentation?

EA producer Andrei Lazaresco told Eurogamer about how they made the most out of Switch’s Nvidia Maxwell-based Tegra X1 chip.

What’s been the general consensus about FIFA 18?

Till now, the general feedback from the fans has been positive. But there is one thing that has been bugging the fans a lot. Fact that it’s causing such a stir, that some fans have kicked off on Reddit discussing the matter. One wrote: “Pace is back, prepare yourselves. Defenders turn like trucks, forwards run like Bolt.

“Most frustrating is how hard it is to face the defender up to someone running at you and often a striker will sprint right through your mid and defense to score.”

It’s not a huge surprise that EA has tweaked this element of the gameplay in FIFA 18 game. The effectiveness of player pace has over the past few entries – especially in last year’s game.

Will there just be one ICON card per player?

FIFA 18 fans will be able to play with 3 versions of their favorite players. FUT ICONS Stories was revealed and will see legends such as Pele, Ronaldo Nazario, Thierry Henry, Lev Yashin have 3 different cards each – all available in FIFA Ultimate Team. The cards each reflect each different stage of a player’s career – the beginning, their prime and tail-end. All cards have different stats and appearances. The best card is a 98-rated Pele – reflecting the Brazilian’s ability in the 1970s.

What else fans want in FIFA 18?

There are quite a few things that annoyed gamers with FIFA 17. Here are some of the main things:

Long Shots from 45 yards

These find the back of the net far too often. It’s largely because goalkeeper isn’t up to scratch, meaning they spend too often standing still before attempting a dive. However, the shots are way more accurate in FIFA 18 when compared to FIFA 17.

Keepers Mechanics and goal line technology

There is another flaw that we found, the goalkeepers fail to save the shots even when they dive in the correct direction.

Player animations

When a player is fouled, the animation takes far too long taking them out of the game for a period of time. This needs to be shortened.

Defensive AI

However, if you like playing with CPU a lot, we would like to warn you that playing against CPU is not easy as it was before.
This needs to be toned down so it doesn’t feel that you’re trying to beat the computer as well as the human opponent.
Scrapping auto blocking and auto tackles would be welcome too.

Referees

These are cited as being too unstable with officials often awarding fouls for very weak challenges. Cards are needed to give out more frequently, especially for slide tackles. There is another bug that we have seen in the previous FIFA games as well. We are talking about the red card bug. Here, the ref sends the last defender off if they tug on an attacker’s shirt. The developers need to get rid of this problem too.

When will it come out?

In past years are anything to go by, the FIFA 18 demo will arrive on September 17, 2 weeks before launch.
The FIFA 17 demo was released on September 13, 2017. The FIFA 18 full game will arrive for consoles and PC on September 26, 2017.

What’s in the  FIFA 18 demo?

If it’s the same build that the company has been showing off in the preview events, you’ll be able to play as Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, PSG, Gamba Osaka, Lyon, Inter Milan, Seattle Sounders and Tigres in the demo.

Is Ronaldo’s rating revealed?

It certainly seems that way. Ronaldo’s rating in FIFA 18 appears to have been leaked by a well-known gaming YouTuber.
W2S was invited to spend some time with the game at EA’s headquarters in Guildford earlier in the 2 months back.
While he was doing documentation the experience, they found the Portuguese superstar in one of the FIFA18 FUT packs. He is ever so slightly slower, though, with pace dropping from 91 to 90.Elsewhere, dribbling remains the same at 90, while shooting stays at deadly 91.Passing gets boosted from 81 to 82 while physical rises from 80 to 81.

How about any other player’s ratings?

We can expect EA to continue to reveal these as we near launch on September 29.

The story line decisions

FIFA 18 Hunter Returns, the sequel to last year’s story mode FIFA 16, was on the way in this year’s game 2017. A teaser shown at EA Play depicts Alex Hunter as a very much in demand superstar with joining a new club.

This could mean remaining in his native England. It could also mean coming to the United States to play in Major League Soccer. Hunter was shown pondering his fate in kits for both Chelsea and L.A. Galaxy.

Last year The Journey allowed a user to pick any of the Premier League teams for Alex to join. It’s unclear if the same choice will be offered in the league he picks him or if the clubs are hard-wired into the story.

How much will FIFA 18 cost?

FIFA 18 will cost £49.99 but depends on the demand, the price may increase. We can expect the cheapest game will go around £45.

When will pre-orders start?

FIFA 17 pre-orders have kicked off now.

There are totally 3 editions: Ronaldo (Deluxe) and ICON (Super Deluxe) Editions. You can find more information on these editions by visiting the FIFA 18 website.

FIFA 18 – What is New (Post- Prelease Review)

FIFA 18 is officially out now and we as well as all the football fans have already got a copy of it. We would like to accept that this new version with the Frostbite gaming engine is way better than the gameplay that we have seen in FIFA 17. The game overall is more realistic and even tougher to break with certain tricks which used to work in the previous installment.
After playing the game for few days, here we are with the new features, the enhancements as well as the tips and tricks that will help you to adapt to this new version easily and quickly. Have a look below to get a detailed insight about the various portions of the game.

FIFA 18 New Features

FIFA 18 comes with a lot of new features, few of the significant ones have been mentioned below:

Make your Passing Dynamic

Some of the players might be annoyed by this addition, but all in all, it’s a good enhancement. FIFA 18’s passing is more dependent upon the available space. In last years game, players were able to do one-touch passing to get the opponent’s defender out of the way and create space for their own player to run. Once you have mastered that, it is very tough to beat you. However, things have been changed in this new version of the game. The game teaches you to open up the pitch for creating movies and space for other players to occupy the available positions. In simple words, you need to master short passing as long passing is very difficult in the new game. Even trick passing works exceptionally well and you player get the ball even when you are not fully sure of whether he will be able to receive it or not. The driven pass (R1/RB + Pass), as well as the lob cross (R1/RB + Lob Pass), has been enhanced and work way better. The through balls can also open up the pitch for you, however, you need to be very precise in direction for it to happen. We would recommend you to keep a constant look on the radar as well since it can give you an idea about when your winger or striker is ready to take a run for your long balls.

Start Practicing the Skill Moves

A lot of players still avoid going with the skill moves, since they think it as an additional headache to take care of along with the regular gameplay. But things have changed now, and many online players already make use of the skill moves very easily, that might turn out to be a trouble point for you. In FIFA 18, skill moves are not so tough and you can easily get hold of some of them by simple practicing them against the CPU. Another thing that we found really improved in the game was dummy shot. If you do not use dummy shot or do not know how to use it, we recommend you to learn it right away. You just have to tap the Shoot button and then press the Pass button before your player takes the shot. It works perfectly if you are being chased by a defender for a long time.

The Pace is Perfect

In FIFA 18, the pace was a bit suppressed and even the fastest player on the pitch could chase by normal defender by pressing pace control along with defending button. FIFA developers noticed the problem and now it no longer exists in the new game. The players now have a balanced pace doing justice to the Acceleration system as well as the Sprint system. Player don’t just start running at their top speed instantly but take time to reach their full velocity. Place as well as strength is now visible as well, playing an important part in retaining the ball and getting it forward. It is easy for the player who likes to hold the ball and make the game taking their own time instead of scoring on counters.

Tacking is even Tougher than containing

Tacking is one of the hardest things to do in FIFA 18. Since we have told you that pace control is now very important to contain the ball and containing itself is pretty easy when compared to previous versions, which automatically makes tacking and defending even harder for the players. You can literally see strength playing the part for most of the strong players with high strength rating.

The Return on Finesse Shot

FIFA has been tweaking the shots every year. Last year was the year of long shots where the players were able to put the ball in the net even from far once they attain perfect direction and space. However, this year’s game is of Finesse Shots. It not that you become overpower with them, but we can put it in this way that, while taking finesse shots, you will be luckier in scoring goals when compared to normal shots. They are perfect to go for when on one on one situation with the goalkeeper.

FIFA 18 New Controls and new Gameplay

Most of the controls of FIFA 18 remains same as of FIFA 17, however, there are few changes as well additions in controls that we would like to highlight here:

Quick Substitution

Earlier the players had to go to team management every time they wished to make a substitution in their lineup. In FIFA 18, they have tried to make it a bit easier for the player with the help of a new feature called quick substitution. With this, the player can see an option to hold down the R2 or RT button on the controller if you want to make the change that the game is suggesting to you. If you wish to continue, just accept it by pressing X or A, the player will be substituted with the new player without even breaking the play.

Hard Tackle your Opponents

Now while you are defending, the players can also Hard Tackle the opponents to get the ball in their possession. When you hard tackle, you play with a slide towards the player you wish to get the ball from regardless of anything. If not timed perfectly, this tackle could result in a foul or even a card. So, use it wisely.

Some Extra Crossing Controls

With FIFA 18, the player can now modify the type of cress they want to give to another player as well. Till now players were mostly able to modify the finishing shots, but using R1 and L1 / RB along with LB, you can choose the curved pass, paced pass etc. The double tap and the triple tap passing that was there in Fifa 17 still persists.

Start Slow Dribbling

One thing that we found interesting was slow dribbling. In FIFA 18, you just can keep holding the sprint button and dribble like the god. You will have to go slow in order to get the ball through close opponents. And once you master it, the game will become relatively easy for you. Just dribble pass the defender to get some space and then sprint as fast as you can to finish it perfectly behind the net.

Better Penalty System

The Penalty system is more of a point and shoot now. This prevents the goalkeeper from missing the ball by just flopping over the old daisy cutter trick. Well, it’s not that easy now.

FIFA 18 – Changes and New Game Modes

New Cutscenes in Career Mode

Since the game possesses Frostbite-powered game engine and characters, there are a lot of animations during the Journey mode as well as the Career mode. The cutscenes during the transfers make these modes more lively and exciting.

New FUT Modes, Icons and Legends

There is a new Campaign channel, objectives modes in the Ultimate Team. The players can squad battle by putting up their players against the AI, having the pre-decided squad. The FUT Icons, as well as FUT Legends, were earlier only available for the Xbox users. However, now the Icon is available for all the gaming platforms.

Better Visuals and Graphics

There has been a significant improvement in the graphics of the game. The players can easily be identified by their movement and physique on the pitch during the game. They have also upgraded the stadium as well as the crowd. There are shots from between the crowd when you score, bringing the real excitement and thrill of the stadium right on your sofa.
Till now the animations in the game were triggered only when the player moved from the place and took a new step. However, now the animations are triggered after every single frame. This is the reason why FIFA 18 feels so fluid when compared to the previous version of the franchise. FIFA 18 has added six new sprinting styles for different players with a different physique, but players like Ronaldo Messi, Robben, Sterling etc. get their own style exactly copied in the game itself. This is why you can easily recognize them anywhere on the pitch just by their movements.

How to Overclock you GPU

For most of the gamers out there, the only way to upgrade their graphics performance is by upgrading the graphics card and other related parts. They expect a better frame rate as well as better performance in return, hoping to run every new game coming in the market is the smoothest way possible. There is no doubt in the fact that it is the easiest and best way to enhance your machine’s gaming performance. But one cannot buy graphics card again and again when a new one is out, it could be a very costly affair. But it is not at all necessary, as there are other methods by which you can enhance your gaming performance and experience. One such method is by overclocking the GPU.

The current graphics cards are manufactured to handle almost everything. But if you are not in a situation to buy a new graphics card and wish to get something more from your existing graphics processing unit. Overclocking is a good solution to this problem. You have an option to overclock your CPU as well as overclock your GPU. We have already covered overclocking of CPU in an earlier post, and here we are going to tell you how you can overclock your GPU. But before we begin with overclocking GPU, let us know why do you need to overclock your Graphics Processing unit?

Why Overclock GPU?

Earlier, people use to think that overclocking is something that could damage your GPU and could only be performed by ultimate computer geeks. Many say that overclocking your GPU could also reduce the lifespan of your overclocked component. But, that happens when you set your setting to the extreme. Pushing it a bit won’t harm your machine. Once you have the voltage as well as your temperature under control, you have nothing to worry.

But before you begin with overclocking, there are certain things that you should take care of. Since overclocking will create a lot more heat and temperature, you must have a good cooling system installed in your PC. Most of the graphics card you get now days already possess a cooling fan or other cooling systems to get the heat out of the overclocked board as soon as possible. If you are not sure or if your machine’s cooling system will be able to handle the overclocked setting or not, it is always better to have a solution in hand.

Since the manufacturers know that more and more users are turning towards overclocking nowadays, they have already build most of the common overclocking tools in the drivers itself. In case you do not have the driver or tools, you can get the AMD tools in AMD Overdrive menu in the company’s Catalyst Control Center suite. Similarly, you will get the system tools utility from the official Nvidia’s site, that will help you to play around with the frequency and other settings very easily for overclocking your GPU.

How to Overclock your GPU

There are many factors that could affect the game performance running on your system. It could include game engine settings, driver version, and optimization, the CPU’s computing speed and the fillrate of your graphics card. However, these settings have very less to do with your GPU’s overclocking. The main factor is the amount of memory that the frame memory buffer is able to afford while displaying any frame on the screen. This includes the resolution of the frame, the texture detail, color intensity and other similar factors. The frame buffer memory of your Graphics card could be increased by enhancing the frequency that your GPU is already running on. You can change the settings to make buffer it a lot more data than before, and even at a faster rate resulting in an overall better performance and gaming experience.
So let us finally move on to the steps that you need in order to overclock your Graphics Processing unit. But have a look at the pre-requisites that you will be needing before you begin the process.

Pre-requisites

For overclocking your GPU you will need a machine which has a dedicated graphics card installed in it In case you do not have a dedicated GPU in your unit and you run the games on an integrated graphics card, don’t even bother to overclock it. So, if you have an Intel HD graphics or GMA 4500 mhd graphics card, trying to overclock them will damage your machine. So, only Nvidia and AMD dedicated graphics card are eligible for any kind of overclocking process.

Get all the tools that you will require for overclocking. There are many other software on the internet that can help you in the overclocking process. We have mentioned few of them in our tutorial, and you will be able to download them using the links that we have provided in the tutorial itself.

You will also have to unlock your card before you can overclock it. The manufacturers lock down the card before shipping them because they do not want the user to overclock them and damage their machine. We hope you have an unlocked GPU or you can easily do it by searching on the internet.

Note: Before you begin with the overclocking process, you need to know that overclocking your GPU will void your component’s warranty. These settings are applicable on your PC and the manufacturer won’t be responsible for any kind of damage that your machine undergoes during the process. Overclocking will also cause overheating of your machine, so make sure to take appropriate measures to cool down your PC so that all the inner components are properly cooled after overclocking.

Step 1

To begin with GPU overclocking, you will require a set of tools using which you can test and benchmark your GPU performance. We recommend you to use the MSI Afterburner software for overclocking the Nvidia as well as AMD GPUs. It is true that you should use the software of the manufacturer to which your GPU belongs. But, MSI Afterburner is compatible with both of them as well and offers the users a live monitoring on the screen. Also, you should make it the primary tool that you can use for overclocking. You get easy tools to change the voltage, the core clock speed, fan speed, memory clocking as well as the power limit of your GPU.

Some other software you can go for includes SAPPHIRE Trixx Utility and EVGA Precision X series. Both of these software offer you the same parameters as well as utilities as in Afterburner.

Step 2

Step 2 is monitoring your GPU performance. After you have downloaded the Afterburner software, install it on your PC and then open it to enable the in-game overlay as well as frame monitoring.

Now, initially, you will have to understand the functioning of your graphics card. You will also have to test how it performs while playing different or the heaviest game. For this, we would recommend you to note down the normal GPU values and then run the heaviest game on your machine. Open the tool again and note down the new readings. Mostly you will get a minimum frame rate of around 15-20 and maximum frame rate of around 60-65, thus giving you an average frame rate of around 35-45 frame per second.

Step 3

The third step is enhancing the power limit of your GPU. In order to do this, you need to head back to the MSI Afterburner software. The first setting that we are going to tweak here is power limit. There will be a slider that you will have to click and move in front of the “Power limit” tag. You need to take it step by step over the stock setting, which will take your GPU temperature from normal to around 90-95 degrees.

Step 4

Now since you have your GPU filled with power that it might require which overclocking, start increasing the slider next to “Overclocking” step by step. You should also research about the overclocking settings that fit your GPU over the internet. It is possible that you might get some predefined setting from other users who might have been successful in overclocking similar GPU, that might work for you as well.

Step 5

After you have increased the clock speed, you need to pump up the memory clock speed as well. You should be able to find stable clock speed at around 225 to 250 MHz. After searching on the internet, we found that on an average, people were able to find a stable memory clock speed around 450 MHz. The Nvidia GPU boost is going to decide how much voltage it will require to run stably.

Step 6

Now you need to repeat the steps given above again and again and test your system again and again. If you go too above the GPU’s limit, your system will start hanging and heating. You also, need to keep an eye on that so that your GPU does cross its heating limit and gets damaged.

Keep on increasing the clock frequency and memory clock frequency slowly and apply the setting again and again to see your GPU and system’s response. However, there is no way to be completely sure whether the setting you have applied are correct and stable or not. For that, you will have to set your GPU to the most stable setting that you think you have achieved and then do some heavy gaming continuously for few hours. If your settings are stable and perfect, your system will run the games without any hang or stuttering.

If you do not want to do that, there are much software available on the internet that could do the stress testing of your GPU. You can go for either Futuremark 3d Mark benchmark tool named Furmark. It is an easy to use simple software that provides good stress test result for you.

You can also choose 3DMark software, but we would recommend it to those who play with overclock settings a lot. We say so because it is a paid software and is obviously a better option when compared to Furmark. You can also run the testing on the loop using this software so that it could run the Furmark’s test over and over again to test your setting for hours to find the perfect overclocking settings for you.

If you Encounter Fatal Shutdown

It is possible that you might encounter a fatal shut down because of unstable overclocked settings. However, these fatal breakdowns won’t cause much damage to your system. If you face such situation, you just have to shut down your machine and then restart it. However, after restarting, make sure you reduce the settings since the settings that are already set is unstable for your machine as well as GPU.

Saving the Settings

You can easily save the overclocked GPU settings in the form of a profile. The Profile option on the software allows the users to save the stable overclocked settings by a click of just single button. Just click on the Save button to save the preference which you can easily load later by selecting it and then clicking Apply. To delete any save preference, you will just have to right-click on the number to reset it.

There is also an option to set hotkeys to your profile which has been overclocked. Thus, you can save two settings, (we recommend one to be default settings) and the users have an option to switch between the anytime they want. For a 2D object like movies and pictures, you can switch to the default settings. However, you can switch back to the overclocked settings while playing heavy games.

Conclusion

Overclocking the GPU or CPU might look risky to most of the users and obviously it is the most dangerous way to get some extra juice out of your GPU. But it is also stupid to waste hundreds of dollars to get a bit more from your GPU. Overclocking is not wrong, and definitely, you should learn to overclock your GPU and other components to extract every last drop of power from them for a better gaming experience.

HP Brings New Gaming Laptop Omen X for Gamers: Review

Earlier this year, HP came up with a whole new range of gaming products with the name, Omen. While we’ve seen HP produce some cheaper gaming laptops and a high-end glowing desktop cube so far, we’ve been waiting for a high-end Omen laptop for enthusiasts. Today at GAMESCOM, HP is going to bring forward the Omen X laptop, what is expected to offer you high definition gaming to the consumers.

HP has opted for a 17-inch 4K display for the top model, or a 120Hz 1080p display for those who want more performance instead of a higher resolution. Both of these models possess the Nvidia Sync technology, making it easer for the consumer’s freedom to pick any one they like. Not only that, the users will also have an option to connect two external display along with it. There is a separate support for people who love overclocking their GPUs and CPUs.

There is another unique feature that HP offers to the buyers along with the laptop. Many of the gamers wish to upgrade their laptop with one or the other internal part, HP Omen allows, you to upgrade quite a few of them. HP is providing single panel access to the HDDs, SSDs, and RAM, making it easy to upgrade all three with just a Philips screwdriver. Otherwise, it’s a relatively standard high-end laptop.

HP is using Intel’s 7th generation Core i7 CPUs inside, not the newly announced 8th generation. The base model of HP Omen will ship along with a GTX 1070 with a 1080p display, 16GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD / 1TB HDD for $1,999. You will have to spend around $369 for the better model which comes along with GTX 1080 and 4K display, 32GB of RAM, and 2 x 1TB of SSD storage / 1TB HDD. The top model also includes an overclockable Core i7-7820HK processor instead of the Core i7-7700HQ found on the entry and mid-level models. There is a mid ranged model as well which offers a 4K display with a GTX 1080 and 32GB of RAM, priced at $2,349.

On the laptop itself, HP has used mechanical switches for its keyboard, producing 2.5mm of key travel. You have an option to optimize each and every key with RGB LED lighting, and there’s an oversized space bar you can reach for during frantic gaming sessions. Connectivity includes three regular USB ports, two USB-C Thunderbolt ports, a HDMI port with HDR support, mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, and a card reader slot.

HP is planning to make the Omen X laptop available in November, starting at $1,999.

Reasons Why OMEN By HP Might Be The Perfect Gaming Laptop

We’ve said before that nothing beats gaming on a PC. Computers are easier to upgrade, offer superior controls and the best part is, they can double as powerful productivity tools. The problem is that people need their devices to be mobile.

Stationary gaming desktop PCs are great, but what if we found you something that offered that kind of user experience in a portable package?

Well, we think we have. It’s the OMEN by HP Gaming Laptop. There are plenty of laptops that are capable of gaming, but the way HP has packaged this particular machine definitely has its advantages. Let’s run you through them now.

1.Tonnes of Options Available

Before touching on any other aspect, the first thing to note is that this laptop can be customised to suit your budget and needs. Want an affordable all-in-one solution? The base model still comes with a quad-core i7 Processor and an Nvidia GTX 1050 graphics card. Got some extra cash to spend? Opt for a better screen, more RAM or a larger battery.

2.It’s an absolute Audio as well as Visual Treat

If you’re familiar with PC building, you’ll know just how expensive the peripherals can get. A decent set of speakers and a good monitor can end up costing as much as the computer itself. On the OMEN by HP, you get HP Audio Boost, Bang & Olufsen speakers as well as a DTS Headphone:X jack. What’s more, you can have the Omen by HP laptop in two sizes: 15.6” or 17.3”.
It doesn’t stop there. The 1080p IPS display has a super high refresh rate of 120Hz, but if you want some extra pop to your visuals, there’s an FHD display available for a small fee. Rest assured, the laptop can handle that kind of video output.

3. There is Effective Heat dispersion

For one, the components that get warm – the CPU and GPU – are placed on the top right corner. This means that you don’t feel much heat emanating near the W, S, A, D keys. When gaming, a warm keyboard can lead to sweaty fingers and an overall unpleasant experience.

As these are pretty powerful chips, the OMEN by HP has two large fans to cool them off. The smaller 15” model has three heat pipes while the 17” has four to ensure maximum heat transfer and dissipation.

4. HP Omen possesses the best hardware

The OMEN by HP is one powerful laptop. Even its base configuration, it comes with the latest Intel Core i7 processor. This is a true quad core i7, unlike some other laptop-grade i7 chips. Not only that, but you can upgrade the graphics card up to a GTX 1070 with 8GB of dedicated GDDR5 RAM for video and up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM for the entire system. Way more than what’s necessary to play all the latest game at high settings.
What’s more, you even get an SD card reader. This will allow you to use one laptop for work and play.

5. A quality approach to construction

You also get a really tough hinge mechanism which feels like it’ll last the lifetime of the product. Another smart decision by HP is the use of materials. The palm rests below the keyboard are finished in high-grade plastic which will age well without discoloration. Meanwhile, there’s a soft touch exterior that gives it a premium look and feel.

6. Plenty of Storage options

HP does not want to give any chance to the consumers to complain regarding the storage space. That’s because the laptop has room for both M.2 as well as traditional SATA drive. M.2 SSDs are 17 times faster than your regular laptop hard drives, but they are also extremely expensive. This laptop will let you have a smaller SSD for Windows and a couple of games, as well as a 1 Terabyte hard disk for your videos, music, and pictures.

7. It possesses spectacular looks

If any one of us is investing so much in a gaming laptop, it is important to make sure it looks good as well. Well, the OMEN by HP has some powerful looks. The red-on-black theme is really quite aggressive looking and they’ve gone the extra mile to make sure even the USB ports are color-matched.
15” and 17” aren’t exactly ultraportable, but HP has done well to cut down the unnecessary bulk. The power adapter, for instance, is rather slim for the kind of workload it can take.

8. HP Omen Laptop is user-upgradeable

In 2017, we saw a lot of smartphones with sealed batteries. We also saw more laptops with sealed in components. Thankfully, this is not the case with the OMEN by HP. Even if you get the base model when it arrives, you can easily upgrade the RAM, add an SSD or get a bigger hard drive when you have the money. Of course, you ought to only do this after the warranty period is over.

This is one of the new OMEN by HP’s strongest selling points. The FHD display, processor, and graphics card are going to be relevant for years, so it’s great that you can push other aspects of the hardware as time goes by.

GAMECOM 17: Microsoft tells Gamers How to Transfer Data from Old Consoles to XBox One X

Xbox One X, previously known as Project Scorpio, is Microsoft’s 4K UHD console coming later this year. Many gamers are waiting for this beasty console to experience high definition gaming in the latest hi-tech console. We’ve compiled everything you need to know about the new system including its specs, release date, price, games and more.
Microsoft has finally let out most of the details of the upcoming Xbox One X, and it looks like it has been worth the wait.
For starters, the Xbox One X will be fully backward-compatible with Xbox One games – and offer improved performance on these titles to boot.

There are certain additions as well as improvements in the specifications of the console. The processor is cooled using a liquid vapor chamber, a technique that’s becoming more common on more compact devices. It’s obvious that old traditional methods like cooling fans are no longer efficient enough to handle a powerful gaming machine. There’s also a brand-new power-management system for the most efficient delivery of electricity seen on an Xbox console.
And finally, Microsoft revealed the Xbox One X’s price and release date. Read on for full details of everything we now know about the Xbox One X.

• Xbox One release date: 7th Nov 2017
• Price: $749

Xbox One X Specs:

CPU: Eight-core 2.3GHz processor
GPU: 40 compute units at 1172MHz
RAM: 12GB GDDR5 (shared between system and GPU)
Bandwidth: 326GB/s
Storage: 1TB hard disk
Disc: UHD Blu-ray player
Video: 4K output, HDR 10 support

Wireless: Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, IR blaster
Connectors: 2x HDMI (2.0b out, 1.4b in), 3x USB 3.0 ports, IR out, S/PDIF, Ethernet.
There are various methods mentioned by the company that will ease your transition from the old Xbox One or the Xbox One S to the all new Xbox One X.

Methods to Transfer Data from Old Xbox Console to XBox One X

1. Settings back-up – your existing Xbox One settings data (presumably including the new modular Home menu) can be copied to an external storage device and reapplied to an X.

2. Early 4K updates – Patches for 4K game enhancements are likely to be weighty. You’ll be able to download these early on your existing Xbox, then copy them to external storage, or transfer them over a home network when your X arrives.

3. Game and app transfer – After you have received all your X, entire games, as well as apps from your original console, can be transferred over your home network, which should be faster than re-downloading them or copying via external storage.

During Gamescom, Xbox vice president Mike Ybarra also made clear that any Xbox One games currently stored on an external hard drive will be plug-and-play on a new X model.

You can find all this functionality in the tool present in Xbox One X, as shown in the screenshot below:

Final Fantasy XV PC Edition will take 170 GB Space on your Hard Disk

Yesterday was really big for all the PC gamers as well as Final Fantasy lovers as the latest installment of the game, i.e. Final Fantasy XV was finally announced for PC. Yes, it did surprise us all but earlier this year, the director of the game, Hajime Tabata did say that he wanted to see the game running on PC at some point of time.

In addition to the release period, the company also unveiled some additional information about the game. One point that took us aback was the storage size that the game would require on your hard disk. Final Fantasy XV will occupy 170 GB hard disk space. The original trailer video uploaded on YouTube by Square Enix mentioned few more points regarding system requirement.

Final Fantasy XV System Requirements

  • You monitor should support 4K HRD. According to the video, the game can support up to 8K HRD output.
  • The optimum GUP for the game is Nvidia GeForce 1080 Ti. (No Surprise, it is among the most powerful processors in the market)
  • Optimum CPU requirement for the game is Intel Core i7 3.4 GHz or Ryzen 7 1700.
  • You will need minimum 16 GB RAM for running the game smoothly.
  • You can enjoy the game’s sound in 5.1 as well as 7.1 surround sound headphones.

However, we do not know why, but the video was taken down from YouTube later. But some smart people did capture the screenshot of the specifications before it was made non-available.

Raio Mitsuno, the Global Brand Manager told PC Gamer that “We can say now that FF15 on PC supports native 4K and also up to 8K, as well as HDR 10. But we haven’t really revealed anything like minimum specs yet because we’re developing at such a high end which means we can’t really define it with current standards now. At some point, we will publish the recommended and minimum specs, but we can’t say exactly what they are at the moment.”

The Global Brand Director, Akio Ofuji, added to the Brand Manager’s statement:

“Obviously when developing for PC we have to keep in mind the demographic and players that play on PC and what they’re looking for. From from a technological standpoint, we’re trying to meet their standards and obviously, when we think about PC gamers we put in a first-person camera mode in the PC version.

We’re doing stuff to cater to the PC audience and we hope that by appealing to what they’re used to, that’ll bring them into the franchise and make them into fans of Final Fantasy.“

We still do not have a clear picture of the game that we will be seeing on your desktops. Square Enix said that the Final Fantasy XV PC Edition will come out in the early months of 2018.
