Philips Plans to Introduce 32-inch 8K Monitor in 2018

The 4K display technology is already out there and the new devices that are manufactured today are all made compatible for it. However, the next big thing in the TPV Technology vertical is 8K Ultra HD display. We saw an example of it on the IFA trade show which was held in Germany, this year. The display was showcased by Philips in the form of the 328P8K monitor. They also told that this new monitor will become the part of the regular company’s lineup, but will be made available only in the next year.

This is not the first time we are seeing an 8K Ultra high display, instead, Philips is the second company to come up with such technology. The first 8K UHD monitor we saw came from Dell, and they have also been selling it to the consumers for about half a year now. People going for such high-end monitors are actually looking for superb screen resolution as well as color enrichment. Till now there was only one contender in the market, but it looks like Dell is going to face some serious competition when Philips 328P8K comes out next year.

There were not many details available about the monitor, however, the basic specifications of the monitor said that the screen size of the monitor will be 31.5 inches with a screen resolution of 7860 x 4320 pixels. The HDR 400 feature is going to offer 400 nits of brightness to the player’s eyes with 60Hz refresh rate.

The connectivity options of the monitor are similar to as of the Dell 8k UltraSharp UP3218K monitor. There are two 1.3 DP cables available for connectivity. They have not used DP 1.4 or DP 1.2 because using DP 1.3 eliminates the Display Stream Compression and makes sure that the gamers get excellent as well as accurate images and colors on the screen.

Another best part about this upcoming monitor is that it will be equipped with a webcam. It is something that we have not see in current generation monitors till now. In addition to the webcam, the users will also get a couple of 3 Watt speakers along with a USB Type – A and a USB Type-C. It is good to have a USB Type – C port in the monitor keeping in mind the future devices that might try to connect with it.

The company has not revealed the original manufacturing company of the display panel, however, looking at the similar specifications of both UP3218K and Philips new monitor, it looks like they have been manufactured by a single manufacturer only.

The Philips 328P8K 8K Ultra High definition monitor will hit the market sometime in next year’s Q1 or maybe Q2. The exact release date of the monitor is still not announced by the company. Not only that, there is no info regarding the price of the monitor as well. So, all we can do is wait and watch for new monitor news and see what Philips have planned for the gamers who are already excited about this upcoming Ultra high definition 8K monitor from Philips.

Razer Brings Brand New Basilisk Gaming Mouse Especially for FPS Gamers

The event that we all were waiting for is finally here. Yes, we are talking about the most awaited IFA 2017. This year’s IFA was quite special as there were a lot of new products showcased that have never been seen before. However, we are not going into much details about those products but specifically one.

Razer came up with a couple of new products as well. One of them was a 17 inch Blade Pro, and the other one was a Basilisk gaming mouse. We are here going to discuss this new mouse from Razer that according to the company has been specially designed for high-level First Person Shooter gaming experience.

There are certain features that make it stand apart from all other gaming mouses in the market. The first one among them is “a clutch”. Yes, this clutch is an extra button that is present on the left-hand side of the mouse, that the user can also customize as per his or her usage. The clutch has been placed in such a strategic location that it could be easily accessed by the thumb. Since, pressing the clutch actually reduces the DPI of the mouse, so players can use it for precise shooting in was or online multiplayer FPS battles. Another point that we forgot to add and that might give relief to some of the gamers out there is that this clutch is removable.

There is no change in the optical sensor included in this new mouse and it uses the same 5G, 16000DPI sensor that we have seen in other Razer gaming mouses like Razer DeathAdder Elite, Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition, and the very popular Razor Chroma Lightning gaming mouse.

There are eight programmable buttons for the user to play around and set the controls he or she s comfortable with the most. It connects to the PC or laptop using USB connector cable. There is also a lightening system with RGB as basic colors, which combine and produce over 16.8 million colors. However, the lightening system is also programmable and could be used to display whatever color you want in the background.

There is another dial that you will find at the bottom of the Razer Basilisk mouse that will help you to adjust the sensitivity of the scroll wheel when you press it down.

On the launch the company CEO, Min-Liang Tan said about the mouse:

“The customizability of the Razer Basilisk sets it apart from other FPS mice and is something that we’re incredibly proud of. This is a mouse designed for tweaking that last ounce of performance out of each gamer’s specific FPS playstyle. For games like CS: Go, PUBG, Quake, and the likes, there’s nothing better”.

The mouse will take time to hit the market but it is available at the company’s home site just for $70.

Fifa 18 Nintendo Switch Game Review

The gaming season is on and the gamers are soon going to get a lot of new, most awaited titles in the market. Many such games were on show as well as available to play n the recently held EGX. However, we are not here to talk about all of them, but specifically about one, Fifa 18.

Fifa 18 will be available in the market this week and the fans can’t wait to experience the new frostbite engine as well as the amazing Journey mode featuring Alex Hunter. However, we still need to wait for some time to experience all of it on the consoles, but we were able to get our hands on the Nintendo Switch version of the game in the event.

EA has not been very attentive to Nintendo gaming consoled in the past. Most of their games lack the focus and features, that most of the soccer fans were craving for. Also, the updates were merely minor improvements over the already sloppy gameplay. Most of the experts believed that less audience is the main reason behind less sale of their game. But the truth is that there has always been an audience for it, there was good EA game available that could attract the hand console gamers.

However, things are pretty different with the Nintendo Switch version of upcoming Fifa 18 game. We tried only one game on the Nintendo Switch. We were pretty surprised but, I personally love playing games on it. For regular gamers, it is good that you can enjoy Fifa anywhere anytime, but for hardcore gamers who use the right analog stick, finesse or pace control, the control might be a bit of hindrance.

But that will be a problem just with few games. Soon, you will adapt to the simple yet interesting and exciting gameplay. The single stick will simplify a lot of things for you. You won’t have to worry about sweet turns, instead, you can easily make your game by quick passing. The button controls include shoot, sprint, tackle, pass, through ball and the long ball. You might also struggle with the controls as it would take some time to get them set in your head.

The gameplay and graphics of Fifa 18 on Nintendo Switch are pretty awesome and since you can enjoy it anywhere with your friends, the feature makes it even more impressive. If you are playing with both the Joy-cons, you can have the full control of the game to perform better, but that is not possible while you are playing it with someone else since you will have to share one of it. But it is a completely different experience and a relief to enjoy the game in a simple way as we used to in the decade-old version of the game, but obviously with way better graphics.

One of the most interesting things to wait for in this Nintendo Switch version of the game is the Online multiplayer mode. Since we have enjoyed it online on heavy gaming consoles like PS4 and Xbox One, but the gameplay in Nintendo Switch is different as well as new for every Fifa fan out there. It will be interesting to see how people adapt to this simple gameplay and how the experience will be online.

Talking about the game, it is way better than other small console versions of Fifa we have seen till now. EA Sports have tried to utilize the full potential of this handheld console to bring even the minute details on the screen in a beautiful way. We are pretty impressed with the feel of the game in small screen. Let’s now wait and see what EA Sports have to offer in the full version of the game coming out this week. Also, you can know more about the new features and top 100 players of upcoming Fifa 18 here.

Passing: 57

Physical: 80

Pepe recently moved from Real Madrid to Besiktas, the Turkish league. He was rate 88 in the previous game, but his rating has been decreased to 86 in the newer version. Despite Arsenal’s disappointing performance last season, Peter Cech on the other side was in great form. 12 clean sheets for the team in the 2016-17 season is really impressive, because of which he receives 86 rating in FIFA 18 and 66th position on our list. There have been only 4 more goalkeepers with more clean sheets during the season.

65. Javi Martinez – 86 – Bayern Munich

Pace: 50

Marco Reus was the cover star of last year’s FIFA 17 game. In addition to that, he was also one of the highest rated players in the game. However, his season was not that good, all because of the injury he suffered just after 17 Bundesliga games in the last season. He gets the rating of 86 in FIFA 18 and his 4-star weak foot attribute is still a nightmare for a lot of goalkeepers.

63. Diego Costa – 86 – Chelsea

Pace: 75

Dribbling: 76

Shooting: 83

Passing: 83

Physical: 58

Frank Ribery has been doing what he is good at in Bayern Munich, and last year was n different for him. He has been in good form and maintains his rating of 86 in the latest FIFA 18. The best part about him is his four-starred weak foot ability that makes him a perfect winger and scorer for any team.

60. David Luiz – 86 – Chelsea

Pace: 70

Dribbling: 71

Shooting: 64

Defense: 84

Passing: 74

Physical: 81

59. Sergio Busquets – 86 – Barcelona

Pace: 40

Dribbling: 74

Shooting: 59

Defense: 82

Passing: 79

Physical: 81

Sergio Buquest wasn’t very impressive this season. And also because of the bad performance by the team in the last season and two back to back defeat from their rivals, Real Madrid, Busquets takes a hit of one point bringing him to 86 rating from pervious version’s 87.

Pace: 76

Dribbling: 83

Shooting: 85

He is out on loan to Bayer Munich for two years where he will try to create an impact and bring his football career back on track. He has got his rating dropped by one point in the latest version of FIFA franchise.

Pace: 82

Dribbling: 86

Shooting: 90

Defense: 42

Passing: 79

Physical: 81

Luiz Suarez is the main striker for Barcelona. He has had an amazing season last year, however, failed to take his team to the top of the table. He started his season by scoring in the 2016 Supercopa de Espana winning the match 0-2. He also scored a splendid hat-trick in the first match of La Liga marking a splendid 6-2 win for his team against Real Betis. It was a free kick as well. His 100th appearance for Barcelona was not very good as they lost the match to Alves in a 2-1 defeat at home. In his first 100 games, he performed better in giving assists than scoring himself.

He scored two goals in the Champions leagues in the staring match, defeating Celtic with a huge margin of 7-0. Another goal came from him in a 5-1 win of Barcelona against Leganes.

He scored his 100th goal for the team last season in Copa del Ray against Athletico Bilbao in the rounds of 16.

However, he has been in the controversy as well. In a match against Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals of Copa del Ray, he was sent off by showing second yellow and missed the final.

Luis Suarez didn’t look in his best form last season in Barcelona. Despite so many chances, we saw him missing even the simplest shots. But that does not stop him from being one of the top strikers of Fifa 18. He boasts a rating of 92 in Fifa 18 standing at the 4th position in the best 100 players Fifa 18 list.

3. Neymar Jr. – 92 – PSG

Pace: 92

Dribbling: 94

Shooting: 84

Defense: 30

Passing: 79

Physical: 60

There is no doubt in the fact that Neymar is an exceptional player with a huge amount of talent stuffed in him. Because of few mumps in the starting of the season, Neymar had to miss 2015 UEFA Super Cup and 2015 Supercupa as well. However, he created chances and scored many goals in the entire season for Barcelona. He also scored his 100th goal for his team Barcelona in his 177th appearance on 2nd April 2017 against Granada where they won 4-1. In addition to that, he also scored in the 2017 Copa del Ray Final match which was his 105th goals as well for the team. In the final, Barcelona defeated Alaves 3-1 to win the title.

He deserves the 3rd place because of his skills, talent, and consistent performance. But at the starting of the new season, Neymar left Barcelona to move to PSG by making a payment of 222 million Euros to the former club. This was the most expensive transfer that the football world has ever seen).

Neymar is the third best player in Fifa 18 with an overall rating of 92. He also has the pace attribute featuring 92 along with full star weak foot as well as skill moves. However, his recent move to PSG from Barcelona was a bit controversial, but that doesn’t affect the fact that he is still one of the best forwards to play within Fifa 18.

2. Lionel Messi – 93 – Barcelona

Pace: 89

Dribbling: 95

Shooting: 90

Defense: 26

Passing: 86

On the second position on our list sits the god of football. Lionel Messi started his new season by lifting the Supercopa de Espana. The list of goals that he scored is really very long and we can recite each and every one of them in here. However, he scored his first hat-trick of the season in the Champions League against Celtic, defeating them 7-0.

Hat-trick was something that was very rare to see at some point in time. But with players like Ronaldo and Messi on the pitch, you can watch plenty of them in a season. This was his sixth hat-trick in Champions League itself. He became the first person to score six hat-tricks in Champions League. However, he suffered a groin injury in a match against Atletico Madrid which ended in 1-1 draw. He wasn’t able to play any game for three weeks after that. After that, we saw the seventh hat-trick from Messi in the Champions League against Manchester City where they thrashed them 4-0. He came second to Cristiano Ronaldo and wasn’t able to win the 2016 Ballon d’Or. He also lost the 2016 Best FIFA Men’s Player Award to Cristiano Ronaldo. He also scored twice against their rivals Real Madrid in a 3-2 win in Santiago Bernabeu. He was named the man of the match for that El Clasico. In the end of the season, Messi had scored 54 goals, along with 16 assists. 37 out of these 54 goals were scored in La Liga winning the European Golden Boot for the for the fourth time in his football career.

Almost all of us know who sits on the second place in Fifa. It could be either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. A lot of fans might get hurt by this, but this year, you will find Messi in the second place with an overall rating of 93, one point behind the best player and one point ahead of Neymar as well as Suarez.

ASUS ROG Strix XG27VQ Review

The wait is finally over and Asus has finally announced the most awaited ROG Strix XG27VQ gaming monitor in the market. The monitor was earlier seen on Computex and now it is officially out. This is the new addition to the Asus XG series. The highlights of Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ include refresh rate of 144Hz, Adaptive Sync (FreeSync), curved full HD monitor and Low Motion Blur.

ASUS ROG Strix XG27VQ Review

The gamers get a full HD display and that too curved at 1800R. The 144hz refresh rate was obvious to add since no gaming monitor is complete without it nowadays. The design of the monitor is inspired by passionate gaming and also features ASUS Aura RGB lighting system. This lighting is customizable and projects a bit of shadow lighting below the monitor surface, offering an enriched gaming environment as well as gaming experience to the players.

Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ Features

ROG Strix XG27VQ brings along a lot of features with it for the gamers. It measures 27 inches in diameter with full HD display and the screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. The curved screen is for immersive display experience, kind of adding on to the Adaptive Sync. You can connect the monitor to your machine or console via Display Port, DVI or HDMI. We have already told you about the ASUS Aura RGB lighting which projects the shadow to the base for some extra effects. The new Extreme Low Motion Blur technology takes care of motion blurs and screen smearing as well.

Design

Asus has provided a very intelligent design to the monitor. The players can tilt as well as swivel the monitor to get the perfect view. The viewing angle, as well as the viewing experience, is taken care very well by the curvature of the screen. Not only this, it also helps in reducing the eye stress laid by the monitor on the player’s eyes.
The curved screen was designed in order to increase the viewing spectrum of the users and not limiting them to the specific field of view. So, if you are playing a game on this screen, you will be able to make use of the entire peripheral vision a lot better than you do on flat screen monitors. There is a bit of 3D effect as well that the player can experience while changing their viewing angle from one side to another.

Performance

We were not able to get our hands on this new monitor, but we did watch its performance while it played different types of heavy games. There was no such thing noticeable like screen tearing and screen flickering, all thanks to the 144Hz refresh rate as well as the Extreme Low Motion Blur technology. The combination is perfect for people who love to play online games, as it can easily handle the continuously changing frame rate. Multiple viewing angle and 1800R curvature require special mention. You do not see any kind of image distortion while you change your viewing angle. It is one of the biggest problems which most of the common monitor with curved display possess. The colors do not go beyond the line and the outlines are sharp at all angles. You can even adjust your vision by tweaking up the base light and setting it to the one which your eyes find suitable the most. The light also offers optimum light on your keyboard, providing you better visibility while playing in the dark.

Connectivity

We gave you a brief about the display connection ports available on the monitor, but talking in detail, there are two Display Port 1.2, USB 3.0 and HDMI 2.0 available for connections. You get an extra DVI port, but just one DisplayPort. The company has not yet revealed whether there are inbuilt speakers in the monitor or not. But that is something we will soon find out.

Software

ASUS has also included a DisplayWidget that allows the user to get access to setting tweaking which you can configure the GameVisa; Sync, Blue Light Filter, and other settings. Well, there are many settings that you can even access via the on screen menu and using the buttons and joystick, the ASUS DisplayWidget is just easy to use as well as faster. There are several presets that the user can use while playing various kinds of games like RPG, FPS, Racing, MOBA etc.

Release Date and Price

You will be able to purchase the Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ monitor from 4th of September for about $499 only.

Conclusion

ASUS is undoubtedly one of the best company that manufactures quality as well as budget gaming monitors for passionate gamers. And with their new product, ROG Strix XG27VQ is another example of excellence by the company. Obviously, the monitor focuses wider field of view and sharp graphics without any problem of tear and lag. In case you are planning to buy a new gaming monitor for yourself, you should definitely give this new Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ a thoughtful consideration.
