The event that we all were waiting for is finally here. Yes, we are talking about the most awaited IFA 2017. This year’s IFA was quite special as there were a lot of new products showcased that have never been seen before. However, we are not going into much details about those products but specifically one.
Razer came up with a couple of new products as well. One of them was a 17 inch Blade Pro, and the other one was a Basilisk gaming mouse. We are here going to discuss this new mouse from Razer that according to the company has been specially designed for high-level First Person Shooter gaming experience.
There are certain features that make it stand apart from all other gaming mouses in the market. The first one among them is “a clutch”. Yes, this clutch is an extra button that is present on the left-hand side of the mouse, that the user can also customize as per his or her usage. The clutch has been placed in such a strategic location that it could be easily accessed by the thumb. Since, pressing the clutch actually reduces the DPI of the mouse, so players can use it for precise shooting in was or online multiplayer FPS battles. Another point that we forgot to add and that might give relief to some of the gamers out there is that this clutch is removable.
There is no change in the optical sensor included in this new mouse and it uses the same 5G, 16000DPI sensor that we have seen in other Razer gaming mouses like Razer DeathAdder Elite, Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition, and the very popular Razor Chroma Lightning gaming mouse.
There are eight programmable buttons for the user to play around and set the controls he or she s comfortable with the most. It connects to the PC or laptop using USB connector cable. There is also a lightening system with RGB as basic colors, which combine and produce over 16.8 million colors. However, the lightening system is also programmable and could be used to display whatever color you want in the background.
There is another dial that you will find at the bottom of the Razer Basilisk mouse that will help you to adjust the sensitivity of the scroll wheel when you press it down.
On the launch the company CEO, Min-Liang Tan said about the mouse:
“The customizability of the Razer Basilisk sets it apart from other FPS mice and is something that we’re incredibly proud of. This is a mouse designed for tweaking that last ounce of performance out of each gamer’s specific FPS playstyle. For games like CS: Go, PUBG, Quake, and the likes, there’s nothing better”.
The mouse will take time to hit the market but it is available at the company’s home site just for $70.
