Top 10 Best Co-Op Games of 2017

If you look from our point of view, there are two different types of games available in the market. One, which are personal, can be played by one person and depends on the story which has already been programmed in the disk. The other type is a bit more entertaining. There are games which can be played with other players online or via multiplayer. We prefer the later type because while playing with other players, you can never predict the game. Each player plays a different type of game when every time whenever they hold the remote. And one bad thing about such games is that they are really very addictive once you start playing them. And it’s not a joke, and I am not saying it just like that, I’ve actually seen people sacrificing their entire social lives over online multiplayer games such as DOTA.

Sharing gameplay with other players is a completely different feeling, however, these type of games are also not like by everyone, for obvious reasons.

Another plus point of Co-op games is that you do not need your partner around you all the time to play Co-Op games. He can connect with you online and play with you from any part of the world.

Online Co-Op games not include a lot of major titles as well as genres in gaming. There are suer FPS shooters like Call of Duty, where various people can join teams to play against each other online. It is similar to Counter Strike, but this one has thousand times better graphics and gameplay than that. There are racing games and obviously, Sports games. Popular games like EA Sports FIFA 18 allow you to play with other players from various parts of the world and even form your own customized teams to play online. Co-op games like Portal 2 and Overcooked require efforts from both the player to achieve the final goal, which is impossible to finish otherwise.

Well, we are not here to talk about features of Co-Op games but to tell you the best ones we have seen to date. Given below are the top 10 Co-Op games list which, according to us are the best Co-Op games of all time. The games are not specific to any console, and the ranking is purely based on the graphics, gameplay and other similar aspects of the game.

Total War: Warhammer

Total War: Warhammer is a strategy game which is turn-based and depends upon real-time tactics. The game has been developed by Creative Assemble, published by Sega and was released on various platforms including Windows, MacOS, Steam and Linux. Warhammer is a fantasy game which portrays Total War series along with the factions coming from Games’s Workshops Fantasy series of the same name. Not only that, it is the 10 installment of the series as well as the first tile to the Total War: Warhammer trilogy.

The game is the battle between two armies. The previous games were based on the real historical environments, but the latest version includes the environment as well as heroes from the Warhammer universe. The heroes include various living forms like mages, warriors, heroes, and monsters. The heroes and monsters can be controlled by the player or by the computer.

The story begins with Karl Franz, who is the new Emperor of the entire Empire. Things turn bad when a civil war breaks out on different parts of the empire. The main task is to retain the rule and suppress the disturbances occurring due to other realms, and finally bring peace in your Old World.

There are various Dwarfs which challenge the already existing peace by challenging the  Greenskins, the Vampires who wish to seize the throne by marching the army of the dead against the emperor.

As a player, you get four option to play as in the beginning of the game. You can either be an Empire (human), Dwarf, a Vampire (undead) or Greenskin (includes Orcs and Goblins).  There is another faction named Chaos, but that is only available to players who have pre-ordered the game or have purchased it in the first week. The Chaos is made up of evil humans as well as monsters.

There is not much difference in the map, and it is same as we saw in Total War: Attila. However, one big difference is the graphical climate and the terrain which changes when the player moves from one point to another point of the map.  If you are starting a campaign, you span from the Chaos waste present in the badlands infested with a lot of Greenskins.

You will also find a lot of difference when compared to the previous Total War games and the player can take part in various battles happening here and there, various players taking part as various individuals etc. The various character which possesses magical powers can change the whole course of the battle as well because of their better and much powerful abilities when compared to mortal humans and other creatures.

Warframe is a third person shooter video game which has been developed by Digital Extremes for Xbox One, Ps4 consoles as well as for Windows operating system. The game is about the Tenno members who have been woken up after centuries from cryosleep. And after they woke up, they find themselves in the middle of a war.

In the game, you take control of one of the members of Tenno group. Following the main missions will bring you in combat with the environment. However, going through “Conclave” you will have to face another player instead. There are missions available all over the planets revolving in the solar system. You will have to travel to Europa, our own moon, Ceres, Pluto etc to complete them.  In order to get Warframes and other important items, you will have to perform various kinds of in-game activities, completing which you will receive quest or mission rewards. A player can have many types of Warframes in his or her inventory, but can only equip on at a time. In addition to that, different Warframes are made available every 4-5 month. Each and every Warframe carries 4 set of abilities which could be used during co-op play to cast damage on the enemies and to protect your allies as well. In case you do not like your Warframe, one can even modify the Warframes to adapt to match the different situations. So, if you wish to play stealth or defensive, you will have to modify few of the abilities to achieve that.

Each and every player have three weapons with him. Here is a primary, one secondary and a weapon to use for melee attacks. All of these weapons can be upgraded with the help of mods that are available. One can even join the Tennos on their mission possessing their powers. Increasing the level of abilities and weapon increase their attributes as well.

For third person experience, the camera has been positioned over the player’s shoulder or head. You also will have to combine the jump, roll, sprint and other techniques to progress through the levels. The parkour techniques make the game even more interesting and fun to play. Each and every level in the game have a different layout and the maps of these levels are generated procedurally. There will be many times when players need to solve puzzles in order to proceed in the game. If even one of the Tenno players’ faints, other Tenno can revive it. But no one revives itself if all are Tennos are already down.

There is also no limit to the modifications you can make to the game equipment since new Warframes, items and other blueprints are available in the market and could easily be purchased using Credits or micro-transactions.

Rainbow Six Siege

We are not much impressed by the gameplay looking from FPS point of view since the multiplayer mode offers the player very limited amount of shooting. However, playing with the guns still is the main attraction of the game but you can’t explore much of it in Rainbow Six Seige. Most of the time the player spends is strategizing the game along with his or her teammates, laying out a lot of different traps for the enemies and with limited chaos fights and battles.

There is no concept of re-spawning, health regeneration or something like that. Also, there are only 5 players per team which make each and every life even more important. You also need to be careful while going in and could use the drivable drone to enter first and scout instead, while you can coordinate with other team members to how to handle the situation.

The game differs from other online multiplayer games, as it encourages each and every player to prefer tactics over just bursting in and starting the combat. With Rainbox Six Siege, the developers have tried to fill in the gap that is present in most of the FPS games that we play today. This is actually a set of never ending puzzles that you need to solve by making strategies with your mates.

As a player, you can jump from a rooftop of a building, crash in from any window, bomb the entire room and what not. If you want to play mind games, you can do it as well. Detonating a false explosive or shooting for cover could distract the enemy team so that you can play along with your strategy. Needless to say, all this gameplay is available in the best graphics so that the players can come up with better strategies also by interacting with the environment.

The only negative point about this game is that there is no Campaign mode available and we would have loved to see that come as a part of the game. However, they have tried to compensate it with the help of PvP mode which offers the players a lot of options to them engaged for a lonf time. The are more than 12 maps that you get along with variable timings of the day, weapons, variable locations creating hundreds of permutations you can get. There are in total 11 situations, all with three difficulty levels to chose from. Another good thing about the game is that the players will find each and every level focusing on various objectives and scenarios. The game is an always –online game, so you need to connected to internet all the time while playing it with other players online. It looks like the gme has not been made to attract new players, but to offer a better gaming experience to their already created player and fan base.

Portal 2

If you have played Portal game in the past, we can bet that you can’t remain away from the next game of the series. Portal 2 is as exciting as Portal one, and also gives you all the answers that you might be asking at the end of the previous game like Hod di all this situation come to pass? Or what is going to happen now?

However, we were surprised to see that the developers have not adapted the concept of the previous game. As the player progress through the game, you will find the single player game merging with the co-op campaign. All that happens in the confusing but beautiful Scientific world where AI’s are speaking something and there are dialogues coming from disembodied voices. The world is a perfect combination of scientific mechanics and strategy building environment making it one of the best puzzle solving co-op multiplayer available right now.

The game starts in a single player campaign mode where you are stuck in the same place where you left of in Portal One. While trying to escape, you meet a mechanical AI robot with small hands and camera lens who accompanies you through your journey and is also the only source of entertainment you have along with your. And trust us, the robot is quite funny sometimes. Soon after that, you also get a portal gun which makes you capable of creating Portals on walls as well as ceiling where you can enter in one, and can come out of other. Well, you need not worry about that now since the game will teach you all the basic things you need to know before beginning the original missions.

Talking about the graphics of the game, Aperture Science is way better in this when compared to its predecessor. As the game become more and more challenging, you will see that better graphics has somewhat enhanced the complexity of the puzzles a bit. It is very interesting to explore such areas and find out what’s in there.

Later in the game, you also get to see new characters as well as your AI companion also evolves into a better one. There are a lot of new tools on the way which you need to use in order to solve the puzzles. So, you need to be aware of your surroundings all the time and also a careful study of the environment, using it for your benefit. Some tricky situations might hold you for some time, but that is what is interesting about puzzle games, they play with your mind.

You can play the co-op campaign with your friends by your side or online. However, the online corporative campaign is way shorter than the single player campaign mode. You can easily enjoy the game for 12-16 gameplay hours. After playing the game, you will feel that this new Portal is completely different from the previous one and its predecessor, Portal One was just a build-up for the adventures that were planned for Portal 2.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection in reality is a huge game which packs in a lot of content for the users. In total the players get a couple of RPG shooter titles along with a dozen of 12 character that could be taken up by the players. You also get a hundreds of hours of gameplay with main missions as well as the side missions.

Nothing much to talk about the game graphics, as they are simply awesome. The 1080 resolution output brings up the amazing texture and lighting what are special feature of this game. Another good thing about Borderlands is that if offers a humor element in the modern gaming. Well, its not necessary, but it play along good with the Co-operative mode.

We know that this is a pack which contains both the games i.e. Borderlands: 2 as well as Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

If we compare the game with other online Co-op game available out there, Borderlands is a way better shooter game, with a good mixture of skill progression and gear usability. There is a special zany skill tree, that makes the simulation and gameplay of a new player really fund to play even after you have invested hundreds of hours in it. This tress also makes the player play different type of strange playstyle, only if you wish to have a huge ability or power in return.

Talking about the second game, it is way inconsistent when compared to the previous version. However, if you are playing multiplayer, you will have to split your screen in order to play together. There is this drawback, other wise we definitely love the way things have set up which wont let you get bored even after you have played the game over and over for hours.

All in all we would like to say that the package is a complete treat for players wo love Co-op games. In case you are planning to but the the game, we would recommend you to buy the package instead, since, the package downloads the content downloads the DLC from both the games.

Gears of War 4

We really thought that the developers wont be able to continue after the last installment to the Gears of War game Gears of War: Judgement. The game didn’t perform well in the market as well, but as we were about to lose all hopes in the game, Gears of War: 4 changed the way we have been playing it all along. The new version of the game features superb battle sequences, hint of humor and a superb Co-op mode to play with your friends.

One of the best thing about Gear of War games is that one can blast their enemies badly using heavy weapons and machinery.

You might find the new Gears of War 4 a reboot of the previous games. However, there is a very little change in that because this game basically is made one and one purpose only, i.e. kill and kill. The story of the game starts with a character named Marcus Fenix. Marcus is a patrogonist coming from the previous games and who is also held captive by the enemies. It is good to see that the developers have upgraded the monster hunters that include Marcus’s son J.D., Del walker and Kait Diaz.  All the players play the game and enter the combat in full on confidence. This is something you will sense from their talks.

The third person shooter view makes the game familiar if you have played the previous versions of the series as well. The battling sequences are not much exhilarating and you won’t find yourself tired after getting into one or after completing one.

The parkour techniques and the covering have been improved in the latest installment of Gears of War and is way more fluid as well as intuitive than it was in the old game. However, there is time when the players need to come up with a strategy to accomplish a particular mission, as well. The shootouts are really very intense and will give you a high definition experience of the environment leaving you breathless in the end.

We found the game way more interesting and fun in the co-op mode. There are some new multiplayer modes added as well like Arms Race, Escalation and Dodgeball. All these modes offer a different type of gameplay to the online users offering an interesting twist to the PvP co-op action. Gears of War 4 has been the best game of the franchise till now, and if you have already played and loved the previous games, you should definitely give this game a shot.

The Division

The Division is a beautiful game to play. There are endless missions to play along with the side missions and the MMO feature spices up the game even more. However, there is not much difference in the gameplay that we have seen in the previous installments of the game, and the major improvement is basically seen in the graphics and game development. So, if you have already hated the franchise, there is no new reason to play it until and unless you wish to ty the online co-op mode. But for the game lovers, The Divison is a treat.

Some of you might know about this game, and if yes,  you would agree that this game is really crazy.  We are talking about the Overcooked game that was published by Team 17, developed by Ghost Town games and was released in August 2016 for Xbox one PC and PlayStation 4.

Overcooked is a very simple game and that is the thing that most of the players actually like about it.  Possessing very easy controls an excellent approach, the game offers you really amazing experience when played with family or friends.

You play the role of a cook in the game, and along with 3 other cooks, you need to fulfill the orders coming in quickly as well as correctly as possible.  At the same time, you also need to take care to not to get into other cook’s way and also not torching your restaurant on fire. There are times when your restaurant can catch fire, but you get a fire extinguisher to take care of such situations.

The game is not as easy as it might sound.  Let us give you an example.  Let’s say you want to make a hamburger. For that, you will require a patty, a lettuce, a tomato, and a bun. Looks easy but it is not. In order to set up the dish, you will need a clean plate.  To get a clean plate you will have to scrub it and some other cook needs to prepare the meat.  You also need to keep in mind the time for which you should heat the meat, otherwise, it will burn if you leave it on the burner for a long period of time. By the time the meat is getting cooked you also need to cut the vegetables and prepare other things as well.

Completing all the tasks at super speed and that too in a very small space without hindering each other’s work requires really good skill.  Deliver a good burger or other dishes for extra points and then move on to the next order that you will find already in queue and be expiring fast.  The difficulty of the game increases as the player crosses each level.

The game might frustrate you at times but you need to keep your mind calm and work according to a plan. And with cold mind and giving proper directions to your team, you can fulfill each order within time and also in the best way possible.  Each and every level has its own strategy that the player needs to discover and work accordingly.

The players have an option to play the game alone as well as with other friends, but one thing that we didn’t like about Overcooked is that Overcooked does not have any online multiplayer support.  You will have to call over your friends or family to play along with you as second third or fourth player in the game.  The absence of online multiplayer does cause some pain but that does not change the fact that Overcooked is one of the best co-op multiplayer game that we have seen in the recent time. It is simple fun, exciting game that should get your attention if you really love playing co-op multiplayer games.

Left 4 Dead 2

Left 4 dead was a really entertaining game that was released back in 2008. Just a year later the developers of Left 4 Dead came up with the next version of the game, i.e.  Left 4 Dead 2, which resembled its predecessor in terms of concept.  In left for Dead 2 the players need to make the way through the infected dead zombies with the help of other players fighting against the powerful living dead alongside you, and at the sametime executing the intrepid survivors.  One of the biggest problems with Left 4 Dead was that it had very limited content to play.   However, this problem was resolved in the second installment of the series.

Left for Dead 2 features 5 unique campaign maps that the players can play across in 5 different gaming modes.  When compared to the previous version, maps and modes are a lot more diverse, a lot more exciting as well as a lot more detailed than the predecessor game.  The second game was all in all a big improvement on the original game in each and every aspect.  It featured new items, new weapons, new survivors as well as new enemies. One of the best thing that we found in the original Left 4 Dead was the action sequence, which remains unaltered even in Left 4 Dead 2.  It would be wrong to say that the action is an unaltered, instead, it’s an improvement and a lot more impressive when compared to the first part.

The main feature of Left 4 Dead 2 is this set of 5 campaign maps that take the players through different locations based in the Deep South.  The players can play in the flooded suburbs, catastrophic City Streets, the murky swamplands etc., areas which have been developed using clever designs that hint the direction the players need to take in order to progress in the game.

The developers have added four new survivors to the game.  This new group of survivors is a lot more talkative as well as alive when compared to the first ones.  One of them is Keith who is always going to make you chuckle while on the other hand, Ellis’ stories are really crazy to listen.  There’s a whole new lot of guns as well.  Now you can choose between different shotguns pistols, assault Rifles as well as submachine guns.  All these new guns make the gunplay even more interesting and full of action.  There are many weapons like a cricket bat, a frying pan, a fire Axe, and a crowbar that take the one on one fights with the Zombies to a whole new level. However, in order to use his weapons, you need to go closer to the Zombies which increases the risk factor for your health as well.

giving special focus to the melee weapons, they are a lot more fun to use when compared to normal weapons.  also when you’re using a melee weapon, these zombies die in a very entertaining me when you chop off their body parts or blow a hole through them.

The enemy has been enhanced as well in the left 4 Dead 2.  Apart from the normal Zombies,  there are some which possess special powers as well.  For example, there is a jockey that can jump on your head in order to steer you off your course.  After that there is a spitter that sticks out a deadly acid on the ground to block your way.  There is also a charger that directly rams into you in order to take you away from your initial position and throw you on the ground far away.

Left 4 Dead 2 features another special versus mode in which that player can take the role of the survivor as well as the infected.  While you are on the infected side,  you as well as your team of players can plan out an attack to take the survivors out.  So the versus more needs a lot more co-op between the players of the team for carrying out a well-planned attack so that nobody is left alive.

Left 4 Dead 2 is not a new game but still is one of the most popular co-op multiplayer that we have out in the market.  Obviously, it is way better than the initial Left 4 Dead game the new weapons campaign and different moods make it a lot more entertaining as well as engaging for the Gamers.  The best way to enjoy this game is to play it with friends. Players can even integrate it online to play it with other online players.

Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 is really a superb shooting game.  The game has been highly influenced by Diablo, but it’s a different approach to loots over. The player in the game has almost uncountable number of weapons that could be found in the Pandora region.  Discovering these weapons as well as sharing them with your friends is just the little part that we love about this game.

If you are trying to play Borderlands alone, we would not stop you but would like to inform you that it is really a bit boring.  It is a huge as well as long game in which the plan is to travel around to different areas to fetch the quests dealing with a lot of other useless activities.  However, as soon as you switch to the multiplayer mode, Borderlands 2 is one of the best co-op shooting games that you can play right now.  In the multiplayer co-op mode you along with your friends need to take down the mob, which is a lot more heroic task than strategic gameplay.  Not only that, the player has an option to assign the MMO roles to each and every player on the team for playing a tactical game.  Exploring the entire Pandora is time-consuming and a tiring job but full of adventure.  We would recommend you to play the single-player mode only if you love playing adventure games.  But if you are into shooting an online multiplayer gaming, we are sure that you are going to get addicted to its online play.

FIFA 18 – Everything You Need to Know! – (Post Release Update)

Here’s everything you need to know about EA Sports’ upcoming football game FIFA 18 – including features, demo, Ultimate Team, stadiums, ratings, The Journey, review and much, much more!

What’s New in FIFA 18?

  • There is a massive change to Ultimate Team – including 3 new modes
  • More news expected at this month’s Gamescom in Cologne
  • Cristiano Ronaldo appears on the cover of the game. However, he is not the highest rated player in the game, Pele is.
  • Chinese Super League NOT included
  • FIFA 18 will launch on September 29, demo to drop two weeks before
  • Xbox 360 / PS3 versions run on old engine
  • EA has still not revealed the Ultimate Team, but they are going to reveal it at GAMESCOM convention.
  • Beta version is already released on August 18 – here’s how to get involved

It’s a matter of weeks rather than months until FIFA 18 hits the markets – and with so much news going around, it’s hard to keep track of it all.

Thankfully, we’ve pulled together all the key bits for you – from the best console to play it on to how to get a hold of the game early.

What platforms is it on?

FIFA 18’s lead consoles will be the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.

It’ll also come on on Xbox One, Ps4, PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Nintendo Switch. There were some small prints in the FIFA 18 trailer. But after the gameplay, we can see it a lot more realistic. It also shows EA focusing more on the next generation console, Wii.

Will FIFA 18 look better on current-gen platforms?

Yes but don’t expect a huge improvement. It’ll be powered by the same engine. One gamer has taken some footage of  FIFA 18 at E3 and posted it on to FIFA Reddit. If we talk about Dream Team Gaming, Jonas Skantz, Frostbite Studio Director revealed: “I can assure you that Frostbite continues to be a true differentiator. More and more games coming from Frostbite whether it is FIFA, Battlefield or others our development teams can spend more time building new ground breaking gameplay innovations until they succeed.”

While graphics took a very large improvement this year, especially with facial and player animations, FIFA 18 will see more improvements as it’ll run on the same Frostbite 4 engine.

What about the Nintendo Switch version?

The relationship between FIFA and Nintendo is a very good one. When the Wii launched in 2012, it took 3 months for FIFA 13 to make its way on to the console.

When it finally comes, it is still lacking the most popular modes of Ultimate Team and gameplay was too far away compared with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

FIFA games were scrapped from the Wii, with EA focusing efforts on the then next generation and the aging Wii.
The arrival of the Nintendo Switch has a new fresh start for the relationship between the Japanese manufacturer and EA.

Speaking at a FIFA 18 event in London last 1 month ago, EA producer Sam Rivera reassured gamers that the Switch version is more than just an afterthought.

It’s being created in a very serious way – the gameplay, it’s fun and different.

Players will be able to play FIFA 18 on the go

The Switch has already proven itself as a brilliant, so being able to play the full game (not just the Web App) on the go will give this version the edge. Hopefully, FIFA has been ‘custom built’ for Nintendo’s new hardware. It may not use the latest Frostbite technology but the gameplay is sleek, responsive and runs at 70FPS.

A battery life of up to six hours makes it perfect for long journeys.

Does FIFA 18 has Ultimate Team?

Until and unless you have Wifi you’ll be able to play Ultimate Team and buy packs as you normally would.

There are no featuring Champions in FIFA 18.

How are the graphics and presentation?

EA producer Andrei Lazaresco told Eurogamer about how they made the most out of Switch’s Nvidia Maxwell-based Tegra X1 chip.

What’s been the general consensus about FIFA 18?

Till now, the general feedback from the fans has been positive. But there is one thing that has been bugging the fans a lot. Fact that it’s causing such a stir, that some fans have kicked off on Reddit discussing the matter. One wrote: “Pace is back, prepare yourselves. Defenders turn like trucks, forwards run like Bolt.

“Most frustrating is how hard it is to face the defender up to someone running at you and often a striker will sprint right through your mid and defense to score.”

It’s not a huge surprise that EA has tweaked this element of the gameplay in FIFA 18 game. The effectiveness of player pace has over the past few entries – especially in last year’s game.

Will there just be one ICON card per player?

FIFA 18 fans will be able to play with 3 versions of their favorite players. FUT ICONS Stories was revealed and will see legends such as Pele, Ronaldo Nazario, Thierry Henry, Lev Yashin have 3 different cards each – all available in FIFA Ultimate Team. The cards each reflect each different stage of a player’s career – the beginning, their prime and tail-end. All cards have different stats and appearances. The best card is a 98-rated Pele – reflecting the Brazilian’s ability in the 1970s.

What else fans want in FIFA 18?

There are quite a few things that annoyed gamers with FIFA 17. Here are some of the main things:

Long Shots from 45 yards

These find the back of the net far too often. It’s largely because goalkeeper isn’t up to scratch, meaning they spend too often standing still before attempting a dive. However, the shots are way more accurate in FIFA 18 when compared to FIFA 17.

Keepers Mechanics and goal line technology

There is another flaw that we found, the goalkeepers fail to save the shots even when they dive in the correct direction.

Player animations

When a player is fouled, the animation takes far too long taking them out of the game for a period of time. This needs to be shortened.

Defensive AI

However, if you like playing with CPU a lot, we would like to warn you that playing against CPU is not easy as it was before.
This needs to be toned down so it doesn’t feel that you’re trying to beat the computer as well as the human opponent.
Scrapping auto blocking and auto tackles would be welcome too.

These are cited as being too unstable with officials often awarding fouls for very weak challenges. Cards are needed to give out more frequently, especially for slide tackles. There is another bug that we have seen in the previous FIFA games as well. We are talking about the red card bug. Here, the ref sends the last defender off if they tug on an attacker’s shirt. The developers need to get rid of this problem too.

When will it come out?

In past years are anything to go by, the FIFA 18 demo will arrive on September 17, 2 weeks before launch.
The FIFA 17 demo was released on September 13, 2017. The FIFA 18 full game will arrive for consoles and PC on September 26, 2017.

What’s in the  FIFA 18 demo?

If it’s the same build that the company has been showing off in the preview events, you’ll be able to play as Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, PSG, Gamba Osaka, Lyon, Inter Milan, Seattle Sounders and Tigres in the demo.

Is Ronaldo’s rating revealed?

It certainly seems that way. Ronaldo’s rating in FIFA 18 appears to have been leaked by a well-known gaming YouTuber.
W2S was invited to spend some time with the game at EA’s headquarters in Guildford earlier in the 2 months back.
While he was doing documentation the experience, they found the Portuguese superstar in one of the FIFA18 FUT packs. He is ever so slightly slower, though, with pace dropping from 91 to 90.Elsewhere, dribbling remains the same at 90, while shooting stays at deadly 91.Passing gets boosted from 81 to 82 while physical rises from 80 to 81.

How about any other player’s ratings?

We can expect EA to continue to reveal these as we near launch on September 29.

The story line decisions

FIFA 18 Hunter Returns, the sequel to last year’s story mode FIFA 16, was on the way in this year’s game 2017. A teaser shown at EA Play depicts Alex Hunter as a very much in demand superstar with joining a new club.

This could mean remaining in his native England. It could also mean coming to the United States to play in Major League Soccer. Hunter was shown pondering his fate in kits for both Chelsea and L.A. Galaxy.

Last year The Journey allowed a user to pick any of the Premier League teams for Alex to join. It’s unclear if the same choice will be offered in the league he picks him or if the clubs are hard-wired into the story.

How much will FIFA 18 cost?

FIFA 18 will cost £49.99 but depends on the demand, the price may increase. We can expect the cheapest game will go around £45.

When will pre-orders start?

FIFA 17 pre-orders have kicked off now.

There are totally 3 editions: Ronaldo (Deluxe) and ICON (Super Deluxe) Editions. You can find more information on these editions by visiting the FIFA 18 website.

FIFA18 details of each pack

Details of each pack is given below

FIFA 18 – What is New (Post- Prelease Review)

FIFA 18 is officially out now and we as well as all the football fans have already got a copy of it. We would like to accept that this new version with the Frostbite gaming engine is way better than the gameplay that we have seen in FIFA 17. The game overall is more realistic and even tougher to break with certain tricks which used to work in the previous installment.
After playing the game for few days, here we are with the new features, the enhancements as well as the tips and tricks that will help you to adapt to this new version easily and quickly. Have a look below to get a detailed insight about the various portions of the game.

FIFA 18 New Features

FIFA 18 comes with a lot of new features, few of the significant ones have been mentioned below:

Make your Passing Dynamic

Some of the players might be annoyed by this addition, but all in all, it’s a good enhancement. FIFA 18’s passing is more dependent upon the available space. In last years game, players were able to do one-touch passing to get the opponent’s defender out of the way and create space for their own player to run. Once you have mastered that, it is very tough to beat you. However, things have been changed in this new version of the game. The game teaches you to open up the pitch for creating movies and space for other players to occupy the available positions. In simple words, you need to master short passing as long passing is very difficult in the new game. Even trick passing works exceptionally well and you player get the ball even when you are not fully sure of whether he will be able to receive it or not. The driven pass (R1/RB + Pass), as well as the lob cross (R1/RB + Lob Pass), has been enhanced and work way better. The through balls can also open up the pitch for you, however, you need to be very precise in direction for it to happen. We would recommend you to keep a constant look on the radar as well since it can give you an idea about when your winger or striker is ready to take a run for your long balls.

Start Practicing the Skill Moves

A lot of players still avoid going with the skill moves, since they think it as an additional headache to take care of along with the regular gameplay. But things have changed now, and many online players already make use of the skill moves very easily, that might turn out to be a trouble point for you. In FIFA 18, skill moves are not so tough and you can easily get hold of some of them by simple practicing them against the CPU. Another thing that we found really improved in the game was dummy shot. If you do not use dummy shot or do not know how to use it, we recommend you to learn it right away. You just have to tap the Shoot button and then press the Pass button before your player takes the shot. It works perfectly if you are being chased by a defender for a long time.

The Pace is Perfect

In FIFA 18, the pace was a bit suppressed and even the fastest player on the pitch could chase by normal defender by pressing pace control along with defending button. FIFA developers noticed the problem and now it no longer exists in the new game. The players now have a balanced pace doing justice to the Acceleration system as well as the Sprint system. Player don’t just start running at their top speed instantly but take time to reach their full velocity. Place as well as strength is now visible as well, playing an important part in retaining the ball and getting it forward. It is easy for the player who likes to hold the ball and make the game taking their own time instead of scoring on counters.

Tacking is even Tougher than containing

Tacking is one of the hardest things to do in FIFA 18. Since we have told you that pace control is now very important to contain the ball and containing itself is pretty easy when compared to previous versions, which automatically makes tacking and defending even harder for the players. You can literally see strength playing the part for most of the strong players with high strength rating.

The Return on Finesse Shot

FIFA has been tweaking the shots every year. Last year was the year of long shots where the players were able to put the ball in the net even from far once they attain perfect direction and space. However, this year’s game is of Finesse Shots. It not that you become overpower with them, but we can put it in this way that, while taking finesse shots, you will be luckier in scoring goals when compared to normal shots. They are perfect to go for when on one on one situation with the goalkeeper.

FIFA 18 New Controls and new Gameplay

Most of the controls of FIFA 18 remains same as of FIFA 17, however, there are few changes as well additions in controls that we would like to highlight here:

Quick Substitution

Earlier the players had to go to team management every time they wished to make a substitution in their lineup. In FIFA 18, they have tried to make it a bit easier for the player with the help of a new feature called quick substitution. With this, the player can see an option to hold down the R2 or RT button on the controller if you want to make the change that the game is suggesting to you. If you wish to continue, just accept it by pressing X or A, the player will be substituted with the new player without even breaking the play.

Hard Tackle your Opponents

Now while you are defending, the players can also Hard Tackle the opponents to get the ball in their possession. When you hard tackle, you play with a slide towards the player you wish to get the ball from regardless of anything. If not timed perfectly, this tackle could result in a foul or even a card. So, use it wisely.

Some Extra Crossing Controls

With FIFA 18, the player can now modify the type of cress they want to give to another player as well. Till now players were mostly able to modify the finishing shots, but using R1 and L1 / RB along with LB, you can choose the curved pass, paced pass etc. The double tap and the triple tap passing that was there in Fifa 17 still persists.

Start Slow Dribbling

One thing that we found interesting was slow dribbling. In FIFA 18, you just can keep holding the sprint button and dribble like the god. You will have to go slow in order to get the ball through close opponents. And once you master it, the game will become relatively easy for you. Just dribble pass the defender to get some space and then sprint as fast as you can to finish it perfectly behind the net.

Better Penalty System

The Penalty system is more of a point and shoot now. This prevents the goalkeeper from missing the ball by just flopping over the old daisy cutter trick. Well, it’s not that easy now.

FIFA 18 – Changes and New Game Modes

New Cutscenes in Career Mode

Since the game possesses Frostbite-powered game engine and characters, there are a lot of animations during the Journey mode as well as the Career mode. The cutscenes during the transfers make these modes more lively and exciting.

New FUT Modes, Icons and Legends

There is a new Campaign channel, objectives modes in the Ultimate Team. The players can squad battle by putting up their players against the AI, having the pre-decided squad. The FUT Icons, as well as FUT Legends, were earlier only available for the Xbox users. However, now the Icon is available for all the gaming platforms.

Better Visuals and Graphics

There has been a significant improvement in the graphics of the game. The players can easily be identified by their movement and physique on the pitch during the game. They have also upgraded the stadium as well as the crowd. There are shots from between the crowd when you score, bringing the real excitement and thrill of the stadium right on your sofa.
Till now the animations in the game were triggered only when the player moved from the place and took a new step. However, now the animations are triggered after every single frame. This is the reason why FIFA 18 feels so fluid when compared to the previous version of the franchise. FIFA 18 has added six new sprinting styles for different players with a different physique, but players like Ronaldo Messi, Robben, Sterling etc. get their own style exactly copied in the game itself. This is why you can easily recognize them anywhere on the pitch just by their movements.

21 Best Games like Skyrim You Should Play Today

In 2011, Bethesda Softworks reached the very zenith of RPG genre, by releasing Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, one among the best handiwork of the company ever. The game has a vast community, and RPG fans have been craving games like Skyrim ever since. The epic universe, action, storyline, quests and the dynamic protagonist: The Dragonborn, shall always remain as indelible memories in our soul.

Nevertheless, there are tons of games similar to Skyrim out there. Most of them may not be as good as Elder Scrolls 5 but could be considered among the games like Elder Scrolls.

Hence, especially for you readers, we have enlisted some of the best games like Skyrim that will console your heart. Maybe a few of them don’t belong to the RPG category, however, they do feature some marvelous historical fiction and mythology. Now let’s get into the games list and their details.

21 Best Games like Skyrim

1. Star Wars: The Old Republic

Taking over from the original Star Wars MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies in 2011, Star Wars: The Old Republic was not free at release at first. But it has since, like so many games of this kind, adopted the free-to-play model. If you want to get Sith kicks, this is the best way to get them for free.
However, subscriptions are still available, giving you more in-game potential. All the story missions are available without a sub they just might take you that bit longer.
It’s worth the download simply to experience the Star Wars universe from different perspectives, like the hyper-professional Imperial Agent and Bounty Hunter. If you want to go with the dull option and just have a generic Jedi Knight, though, that’s fine too.

Platform: Windows, Xbox 360

2. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen

The popular open-world role-playing game by Capcom, Dragon’s Dogma, serves as a possible alternative to Witcher 3 if you don’t favor eye-candy visuals. The critically acclaimed title features one among the best combat systems ever and hence qualifies to be listed as one among the best games similar to Skyrim.

You can climb enemy bosses and attack them, which is rare to be found in most of the games. The title is heavily inspired by the Dark Souls franchise.

The game primarily features a similar concept like ‘Dragonborn’ in Skyrim. The chosen one here is however named as ‘Arisen’. Throughout the game, you shall follow the footsteps of Arisen and save the world by fighting beasts and dragons till you discover the hidden truth.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is rather a polished version of the game, and features some additional content. It’s one among the best games like Skyrim and Witcher 3, you can find, on the basis of an engaging quest line, combat system, dynamic world but at the cost of downgraded graphics.

Platform: PS3, Xbox 360, Windows

3. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

Hellblade is not an RPG but rather an action-adventure-hack-and-slash game centralized on the story of Senua, a Celtic female warrior.

To what we consider this as one among the best Skyrim like games, you have to progress through the world, inculcated with your psychotic manifestations.

Hence, this psychological thriller could drool your eyes when you shall be experiencing traumatic visions in the game. Developed and published by Ninja Theory, Hellblade will supposedly feature a strong plotline.

We pass this judgment because the company emphasizes a lot on building strong characters and connecting them to the story, in most of its titles.

Platforms: PS4, PC

4. Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor

If you like a little bit of  Assassins Creed peanut-butter goodness in your chocolatey Skyrim open world fantasy, you might like Shadow of Mordor. This action adventure title combines the parkour-filled stealth of the former with an RPG-lite experience system and the most iconic setting in Western fantasy.

The real fun lies in the game’s nemesis system. Remember that one bandit who really kicked your ass early on in Skyrim? Everyone had at least one. Well, now you can watch that Bandit rise through the ranks of the enemy as you kill off his superiors one by one until finally when he’s sitting high and mighty at the top of the food chain, you swoop in and cut him down like the dog he is.

The most magical moment… Sometimes that nemesis is named Dush and you giggle like a child as you get your revenge.
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Macintosh operating systems

5. Fallout 4

You can’t have a list of Skyrim alternatives without mentioning Bethesda’s other big open world extravaganza, Fallout4. While I might prefer the storyline and world of New Vegas more, it’s hard to deny just how open and awesome the world of Fallout 4 is.

You can build settlements, join factions and generally cause chaos as you roam the wasteland steadfastly ignoring Bethesda’s main plot about your dumb ugly kid.

It’s also been confirmed that Fallout 4 will be coming to VR in the near future, possibly as part of the mysterious Project Scorpio. So if you’re thinking of investing in VR, it might be a good time to do so. The most magical moment is Having a robot companion who’s also a 1930s private eye for some reason.

6. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

From the ghastly lands of Velen to the beautiful isles of Skellige, venture into an epic adventure of mystery and hidden conspiracies with Geralt of Rivia, the Master Witcher, known by the name, Whitewolf.

Winner of many awards from reputed publications and events, Witcher 3, to be very frank has overtaken the likes of Skyrim and is considered as one among the best RPGs like Skyrim ever created, all thanks to its vast open world and lucrative visuals.

Apart from the main quests, you would definitely love to get involved with the side missions that are very engaging. If it gets tiresome for you after completing Witcher contracts and eliminating gigantic beasts, visit any pub located nearby, to relax and play some Gwent. In the elite list of games similar to Skyrim, Witcher 3, has a lot more to offer than you can even imagine.

Platforms: Windows, PS4, Xbox One

7. Shadow Of War

Alas, Talion and Celebrimbor are back to action with the upcoming Shadow Of War, one among the best Skyrim like games, one can ask for. Do not be confused. It’s not an RPG but rather an open-world story-driven action adventure game based on the universe of Tolkien’s epic fantasy series, Lord Of The Rings.

The prequel, Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor was critically acclaimed for its fluid combat mechanics, gameplay, script writing, inspiring plotline and most noteworthy, its Nemesis system.

Nemesis System enables the NPCs especially the enemies to adapt to the surroundings and dynamically attack the player based on past experiences. While you eliminate, the captain of a squad, someone else will take the dais, and face you later on. The best option would be to brand enemies, to forge your own army, while you prepare for the ultimate battle.

So, how’s the sequel, Shadow Of War gonna be different? Be wary Ranger, as your own allies might betray you. Furthermore, the game’s reportedly gonna feature, a vast open-world, this time though with multiple sprawling cities. Developed by Monolith and published by WB Games, the game will be out by August 22, 2017.

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, Windows

8. Far Cry 4

If you loved the open world gameplay of Skyrim, but got a bit burned out on all that magic and dragons nonsense, it might be time to give Far Cry 4 a try. The game features a massive open world full of enemy bases to blow up and vehicles to commandeer. There’s also an experience system that lets you unlock new abilities and skills, so you won’t have to give up that sweet, sweet RPG fix.

The world of Far Cry 4 isn’t just filled with generic soldiers, though. Like Skyrim, the countryside of Kyrat is filled with local wildlife, both benign and bloodthirsty. Some will ignore you, some will try to eat you and some can be ridden.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows

9. Nioh

It was notably released on February 7, 2017.The protagonist of this RPG title portrays a close resemblance to “Geralt of Rivia” (Protagonist of Witcher series). Hence, he is widely known as “Jeraltu: The Samurai Witcher”. Developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Temco in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment, Niohis a medieval action RPG.

The game is set in Japan during the early 1600s, a period of conflict between the warring clans. You will play from the perspective of William Adams, an English navigator who eventually gets converted to a “Western Samurai”.

The gameplay elements have been heavily inspired by the Ninja Gaiden, Onimusha, and Dark Souls series respectively. Indubitably, the universally acclaimed title is one among the best games like Skyrim.

Platforms: PlayStation 4

10. Lords Of The Fallen

But Lords Of The Fallen is a game for PC and consoles! Is it possible that they released one especially for Android? Yes, my dear friends, you are very right. However, this version has quite some variations compared to its PC & console counterpart.

The hack and slash mechanic remains the same with a few RPG-like elements. It’s somewhat story driven. You can craft weapons and armor, gain experience points and level up to fight smoothly against gigantic bosses.

Platforms: Android

11. Wildstar

Without seeing more than a few screenshots, you might think Wildstar is a new IP from Ratchet & Clank developer Insomniac Games. It’s colorful and cartoony enough to sit alongside the same catalog as Spyro, but this is no casual free-to-play MMO, which may be the reason it didn’t do as well as expected sales-wise.

If you like Blizzard games, such as World of Warcraft, Wildstar will undoubtedly quench your thirst since many of its developers at Carbine Studios came from the beloved Activision Blizzard subsidiary.

Despite not landing as “the next evolution of the modern MMORPG,” according to its IGN review, Wildstar holds its own as a traditional MMO that, before going free-to-play, had a unique subscription method based on actual player progress along with some colorfully stylized graphics.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows

12. Eve Online

In 2003, Icelandic developer CCP Games unleashed unto the world Eve Online, an immersive and in-depth “sci-fi experience” that would eventually garner the attention of well over 500,000 players. Eve Online is unlike any game in its category, thanks to the vast range of activities to take part in as well as its (appropriately) out of this world in-game economy.

Unfortunately, the Eve Online player base has been on the decline since 2013. It should come as no shock that as time goes on, fewer and fewer gamers are interested in paying a subscription fee for a glorified space sim with a steep learning curve. As of the Ascension update, which released in November 2016, Eve Online has gone free-to-play – at least to an extent.

The new ‘alpha clones’ system featured in Eve Online is similar to the “unlimited free trial” featured in World of Warcraft. You can still engage with other players in mining, piracy, manufacturing, trading, exploring and combat, but certain skills will be off-limits. As long as you don’t mind finite access to some of the game’s most lumbering ships, Eve Online won’t cost a cent.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows

13. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

The game will release sometime in 2017.Voila! You have yet another RPG that doesn’t feature any magic or spells. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord serves as the prequel to its predecessor, Warband, and is set 200 years before the events of the game. If you are on the lookout for RPGs like Skyrim, then this is a title worth to look at.

An indie title, the events of Bannerlord’s plotline occur during the fall of the Calradian Empire. This sequel to Warband features eight different factions with each exhibiting their own respective lore, classes, and characteristics.

You will get to see sprawling cities with diversified landscapes. NPCs will reportedly play a huge role in determining your fate. The AI has been heavily tweaked, and you won’t be given any hint about your quests at all. You are on your own as you play this game.

Developed and published by TaleWorlds Entertainment, Mount & Blade II very well deserves to be in this list of games like Skyrim.

Platforms: Windows

14. Conan Exiles

Yup, it’s an indie title, and certainly, we aren’t joking around, including it in the list of best games like Skyrim. Conan Exiles developed and published by Funcom Games, is an open world survival game, that demands your instincts and analytical abilities, in a huge barren wasteland.

You will be exiled and must cater to your own survival, thus challenged by blazing heat, hunger, and unpredictable enemies. Hence, players have to start everything from scratch. Harvest crops, build settlements, craft weapons and build your tribe to forge an empire in the wasteland.

Alongside solo mode, the game also gives you the privilege of competing online in the multiplayer mode. Maybe not exactly an RPG but because of its well-designed eye-candy gameplay mechanics, Conan Exiles is one among the best games similar to Skyrim out there.

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, Windows

15. Marvel Heroes Omega

After DC Universe Online was released back in 2011, Marvel had no choice but to compete with its own MMORPG. It took two years, but the end result was a fun but shallow action RPG featuring a wide variety of play styles for over 21 playable (and, hopefully, familiar) characters. Six years later, the game has been rebooted twice and subsequently ported to consoles, jam-packed with content to make up for its previously limited gameplay.

You can now, for instance, level up any character in story mode – of which there are over 100 to choose from – and timed drops mean that you don’t have to spend real, hard-earned currency to unlock additional characters. As of 2015, raids were introduced as well, so as to draw more traditional MMO players, and somehow, somehow the X-Men are still there despite Marvel’s differences with 20th Century Fox… even if the Fantastic Four haven’t seen the same luxury.

Platforms: PC

16. Paladins

It’s not hard to see why Paladins catches a lot of flack for its resemblance to Overwatch. At the same time, the team-based shooter bears many distinctions from that of Blizzards. Abilities are upgraded based on a collectible card system, which can completely change the way each character plays.

What’s more, unlike Overwatch, Paladins is completely free-to-play. While cosmetic items are available to buy using real-world currency, everything else can be unlocked simply by playing the game. For instance, you’ll start Paladins with a single deck of basic cards, and from there, more dramatically impactful decks can be unlocked.

Regardless of how you choose to play Paladins, you’ll get XP as you play. As long as you’re completing the daily quests and achievements featured in the game, you’ll be rewarded with Radiant Chests and Gold. These can be used to purchase more cards, costumes and weapon skins to make your characters more unique and skillful on the battlefield.

Platforms: PC

17. Bloodborne

“The blood makes us human….makes us more than human…makes us human no more!”

Alas, this is the tagline of the survival horror RPG title which happens to be one among the best games like Skyrim. The sheer work of the Dark Souls developer, Bloodborne takes you into the ghastly city of Yarhnam hit by a plague.

You play from the third-person perspective of a Hunter with the motive to search for the ‘Paleblood’ with reasons unknown. The protagonist unravels various mysteries and facts as he/she progresses in the game.

Developed by FromSoftware, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, if you happen to be a fan of horror games, this is a game to look out for.

Platforms: PS4

18. Fallout: New Vegas

A.k.a the best modern Fallout game, Fallout: New Vegas is a spinoff sequel to Bethesda’s Fallout 3, set in and around Sin City. You take the role of the Courier, a hapless messenger who got shot in the head for the platinum poker chip they were carrying. Thanks to a kindly old doctor and your own gumption, you get patched up and set off on a quest for revenge. Or maybe you don’t. Maybe you just feel like wandering around for a while, or slaughtering every single member of Caesar’s Legion in the Vegas area, or chilling out with your drunk cowboy friend Cass. It’s pretty much up to you.

There’s a lot of choice in Fallout: New Vegas, and a whole lot of factions that want you on their side. It’s up to you who you side with, or whether you choose to side with anyone at all.

19. Paragon

For years now, developers have tried and failed to adapt multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games for the TV. Now, however, if you’re one of many with a computer tucked under your living room entertainment setup, Paragon may be the MOBA you’ve been searching for.

Also available on the PlayStation 4, Paragon takes what League of Legends and Dota players have enjoyed for years and optimizes it for consoles and entertainment rigs by rotating the camera behind your character. By inciting the illusion of a traditional third-person competitive shooter, Paragon aims to broaden the appeal of not only MOBAs but eSports as a whole.

The asymmetrical maps, team-based base destruction and “hero” system are all intact. Paragon is an MOBA for newcomers.

Platforms: PC

20. ELEX

ELEX is an upcoming medieval sci-fi RPG, published by Piranha Bytes and developed by Nordic Games. It could be one of the best Skyrim like games, who knows?

The events of the game are based on a planet named Megalan. As a matter of fact, the planet gets affected by a giant meteorite strike right at its center. Later, it’s discovered to have brought a mysterious yet powerful and rare element with it. People hence, name it as ELEX.

Subsequently, it turns out to be of great use to power machines, reanimate the dead and procure artifacts. Hence, this develops a thirst amongst the mankind for possessing the very rare element ELEX.

Soon, it leads to an all-out war, as mankind gets divided into various factions. Each faction has distinct motives about possessing ELEX. Hence, you play as the protagonist belonging to a faction of your choice. Hence, in the end, it’s entirely up to you to decide the fate of mankind. Amp yourselves up to play one among the best Skyrim like games that’s yet to be released.

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

21. WILD

WiLD is an upcoming open-world survival adventure, which we think well deserves to be in the list of Skyrim like games. It will take you back to the neolithic era (6000-500 BC). Most noteworthy, you shall be playing as a Shaman, in a third-person perspective.

It mainly borrows the concept of Far Cry Primal. However, the game lives up to its own expectations, you would be able to tame beasts and alongside control them, i.e. the POV transfers to those creatures when you possess them. Notably, each and every animal has its distinct set of abilities.

The game gives you the privilege to upgrade and customize those very abilities to help you in stealthily invading enemy camps and frequent combat situations. Developed by Wild Sheep Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, WiLD is definitely a game to look out for if you are much into the pre-historic era.

EA Teases Gamers with more Nintendo Switch Games

Gaming publisher giant Electronic Arts are bringing a lot of new games along with FIFA 18 to Nintendo Switch. Worldwide Studios VP Patrick Soderlund said in a new interview that while he is personally excited about Nintendo as well as their product Nintendo Switch, it’s too soon to say whether or not EA will release more of its games or build new ones for the hybrid console.

If we listen to Nintendo Insider (via Nintendo Everything), Soderlund told the Edge Magazine, “I’m a gigantic Nintendo fanboy,” adding that he brings his Switch “everywhere”.

EA is taking a platform-agnostic approach, which is very common nowadays for most of the publishers. If there is a business opportunity, EA will bring its games to any platform it seems, including Switch.

“We will appear on any platform where there are consumers, and players,” he said. “We believe that we want to be a part of the Switch, and help Nintendo grow that installed base; that’s why you’ll see FIFA, which by the way is really good this year. It’s a full-fledged FIFA game, for the first time to be honest, on a portable device.”

In addition to that, Soderlund also mentions that EA has to consider a number of resources it puts into anything as part of running a business because “the numbers become a factor.”

The executive teased that EA might be bringing other games beyond FIFA 18 to Switch, and if these titles are successful, more could come later.

“So for us it’s about supporting the platform, building technology for the platform, testing it out with big things like FIFA–and maybe a couple of others, we’ll see–and if they go well, I see no reason why we shouldn’t have as much of our portfolio on that platform as possible. I hope we get there, that would be my personal ambition.”

After an E3 they featured a brand new Pokemon announcement, Metroid Prime 4 and Super Mario Odyssey gameplay, Nintendo told Switch owners to expect more surprises as the year goes on.

In fact, Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aimé told Waypoint that the Nintendo Switchcontent shown at E3 was just the tip of the iceberg.

“The response to what we’ve showcased, and it really is just a small tip for 2018, has been exceptionally positive,” he said.

“You’ve got fans seeing Metroid Prime 4, hearing that Mr. Tanabe, who’s been involved in all of the Metroid Prime games, is going to be at the helm of that, the fans are tremendously excited.

“To hear that there’s going to be a core Pokémon RPG experience on the Nintendo Switch, the fans are incredibly excited.

“To see a traditional Kirby experience, with him inhaling enemies and copying abilities, fans are excited about that. And then the Yoshi game that we showcased, with that unique, you know, motion to go behind-the-scenes, so to speak, have people really intrigued.

“So just by showcasing those four games, and giving a little bit of a taste, yeah there’s a lot of excitement to what 2018 can hold.”

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Game Review

abHellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is an action-adventure hack and slashes video game developed and published by Ninja Theory for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation. Before discussing the Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice lets talk a little bit about Ninja Theory.

Ninja Theory is an independent video game developer based in Cambridge, England. Founded as Just Add Monsters in March 2000, the company was purchased by former Argonaut Games CEO Jez San in November 2004. Its Headquarters is located in Cambridge, United Kingdom. It’s Founded in  November 2004, Cambridge, United Kingdom. At Gamescom 2014, the company announced Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The game was released worldwide on Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4, on 8 August 2017.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Review

There are stunning visuals and aesthetics coupled with some remarkable motion capture. Melina Juergens’ performance as Senua. Strong and responsive combat. Interesting puzzles with a few neat twists and excellent audio production.
There is only one disadvantage of this game is Combat can be very simple and occasionally repetitive (lack of manual targeting can be weird at times). Some perspective puzzles can be frustrating. Exploration is very on-rails and doesn’t venture far off the beaten path.

The Gameplay

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a remarkable beast. It’s an experience through the mind of a young woman tormented by events that would render most people helpless (which is also something she’s trying to deal with). It’s a journey through a horrifying wasteland of the mind and the underworld, the demons of both mixing together and creating an all too real picture of mental and spiritual torment. However, what makes Hellblade so remarkable is its razor-sharp focus on story-telling and the unrelenting depiction of Senua’s torments, memories, and desires.

Talking about the voices, which perfectly depicts the audio brilliance of this game. Senua has a number of voices in her head and they’re all different. There’s the tired elderly voice that’s narrating events while offering her own advice in her own way. Some voices are curious about whether Senua even has a chance. There are a lot of voices around her. One of the voice always tries to motivate her and believes that she could actually win, while there are some that mock at her. There is another noticeable voice of Druth, whom Sauna met at the initial stage who took her through the initial trials. Last but not the last there is also a “shadow” that keeps on following Senua around, taunting her and always trying bringing her down.

The Story

The player begins the game as one of Senua’s voices, though we don’t speak very much at all, joining her en route to Helheim as she attempts to resurrect her fallen lover. “Resurrect” is probably the wrong word – Senua’s village had been slaughtered and the “shadow,” told her to take her lover’s head to Helheim to bring his soul back. The entire experience is gorgeously captured, from the rippling water and blinding light as Senua travels up the river to every minute expression on her face as she wrestles with the voices while attempting to stay alive in combat.

And yes, the voices do speak out to you in combat. They become afraid, warn Senua of danger, and will often tell her when to dodge or strike. She is warned by them when she is very near to death. This could also be taken as a sign when the player has lost lot of heath and could die in the game in he or she does not hangs back. Little nuances include calling out when an opponent will avoid your attacks and counter you.

Whether that’s good for you or not in the long term is debatable but it makes for a unique, unparalleled story-telling experience. Much of the credit must be given to Melina Juergens for her depiction of Senua, showcasing everything from the sheer, wrenching frustration and anger she feels to those brief moments of joy upon remembering her love, Dillion. Similarly, her moments of fright when stumbling around in the dark or wading through the murky swamp are simply uncanny.

Other Interesting Elements

The basic gameplay elements of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice are pretty straightforward. Senua navigates the world, encounters gates and memorizes runes before envisioning them in the environment and progressing forward. These are essentially perspective puzzles and could require orienting yourself at a certain spot or head to higher ground and looking around. Don’t worry – Senua’s POV starts lighting up with dozens of flashes of the rule in question that only get stronger as you get closer to the solution. The player can use the focus in the surrounding around him or her to find and discover hidden items scattered all over the game’s environment.

And while it may seem easy enough, in the beginning, the game finds other ways to throw its perspective puzzles at you. Puzzles are interesting, fit the overall nature of the game and have plenty of clever wrinkles the deeper you go. However, it is not so complicated as well as it sounds as you need to stick to a single path even when you are exploring the environment.

Enemies are fairly typical, relying on swords and maces with the odd few using maces and shields. The games also turn a bit challenging when you face a lot of enemies at the same time attacking you with various dangerous weapons. Senua’s ability to dodge is very forgiving, getting her out of most sticky situations, but I couldn’t help wishing for a manual targeting system.

Aside from Senua’s focus also being able to expose shadowy enemies immune to damage and slowing down time to execute a myriad of slashes on a foe, that’s all there really is to the action. The sheer visceral nature of the combat is also highlighted when Senua is knocked down and struggling to get up each time. Fights feel cinematic but they’re also tight and well executed despite being constrained to small areas (for the most part). The boss battles are also exceptionally well done, making use of the focus mechanics, dodging and pattern memorization without overwhelming you with all the details.

The Verdict

It’s a great story and game because these two things go hand in hand. Hellblade is an excellent game for those who love to play open world game which includes a lot of exploration. The graphics are pretty impressive and is definitely worth your time. Just make sure to play only an hour at a time lest the voices haunt you in your sleep.

Call of Duty: WWII – Things We Know So Far

Almost every gamer has played one or the other COD or Call of Duty game in his or her lifetime. And if you love first person shooter, then we understand how disappointed you are waiting for the next installment of the franchise to come out. Well, there is a good news for you guys, Call of Duty: WWII was announced some time back and features the loved old World War II environment to the gamers. The game has been developed by Sledgehammer Games and we have seen some amazing games from them in the past. The game takes place in between the war specifically around the last year, replicating a lot of battles that took place in reality and eventually resulted in the downfall of Hitler, Germany as well as the entire Nazi empire. Here in this post, we are going to consolidate everything that we know about the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII from the trailer, announcements, rumors and all other sources.

But before we begin, If you haven’t watched the COD : World War II trailer yet, you can watch it below. The trailer for the upcoming game was live streamed worldwide followed by the teaser announcement by the company. The trailer takes you to in the middle of the war of Normandy, followed by Hurtgen Forest battle and a lot more. You are also introduced to the character of Josh Duhamel and Technical Sergent William Peirson.

COD: WWII Campaign

There are various modes you can play in. The first among those is the campaign mode where the player steps into the shoes of a young boy named Ronald Daniels from Texas. We think that this makes irony with the old saying, “You’re a long way from Texas, farm boy”.  We also got to know from the Polygon’s preview that Daniels will serve under Turner and Pierson, two seniors who have different views and methodologies about war. There are other soldiers too serving along with Daniels under them, one of which is a British officer, a child and female resistance fighters.

As a young fighter you a put into a lot of tough situations. The fans will be happy to see that we have a lot of time with boots-o-ground, that means real combat. You will have to depend upon your fellow soldiers to survive in tough battles, and they rely on you as well.

The story begins from the D-Day itself where the soldiers land on the Omaha Beach and to liberate Paris from the control of Nazis. Yes, this is the same Omaha Beach you might have seen in the famous Tom Hanks movie, Saving Private Ryan. But don’t think it same as the movie, since it is more deadly, horrifying and intense than the movie.

The game features new ways of battle. In the short demo that we saw, we see a squad sniping the German army from far and before the forest comes down. To see bringing down a complete forest using smart tactic and from Red’s point of view is extremely amazing. The Battle of Hurtgen is one of those battles which haven’t been covered in most of the War games, but you see yourself experiencing that battle in COD: WWII.

Not only that, you also get a lot of cool weapons to play around in the game as well. The demo we saw started with the M1 Grand. There were a lot of close encounters in the demo as well which featured a German soldier with a knife whom you kill by smashing his head with your helmet.

Activision says that the historical representation in the game is authentic. But we highly doubt that since they said same about the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and we were surprised to see spaceships in it.

However, there is one big drawback, you as well as other players do not recover the lost health over time. In the previous versions, the player was able to hide and regain their health. If you wish to gain health, you will have to summon your mates which carry health pack, ammo, and other important stuff.

COD: WWII Multiplayer

There were very few details that were made available and which we were able to grab from the event. But the multiplayer mode is there for sure. There is an interesting war mode in which the player takes part in a battle between teams with different objectives. For example, in one mode, the goal of the game will revolve more or less around Normandy invasion incident. We still do not have an official figure of how many players will be able to play together online. But we can expect two modes, one with 32 players and the other with 64 players.

The only info we have about the co-op mode is that is will be a zombie hunting game in which the players are going to fight against the evil experiments as well as the army of the dead.

However, Schofield told Galaxy that they have got something under the blanket for the Co-op mode. Schofield told Glixel that it will be more like old sledgehammer routine with a new more dangerous enemy, new story and a lot of dark element.

The Call of Duty: World War II will hit the market on 3rd of November for PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms. Also, have a look out as Activision might announce pre-order before actual release.

Many of you might have already played this game before. The famous and popular hack and slash game in now available for free with Xbox Gold. The game has been developed by PlatinumGames in which the player plays as Bayonetta, who is a witch that could make use of various mystic firearms and magical shapeshifting to fight and get rid of her enemies. Terraformer transformed the atmosphere of Mars to make it inhabitable, by supplying air and weather just similar to Earth on Mars. Games with Golf for July 2017

Grow Up

Grow Up is a new game which was released for Windows, PS 4 as well as Xbox One last year in August 2016. It is an interesting adventure open world platform game developed by none other than Ubisoft Reflections and published by Ubisoft.

This game is the sequel to the Grow Home title that came out in 2015 and builds on the same story as well. Similar to the predecessor, the player has the control over the robot named “B.U.D.” who can climb landscapes and can even convert the stalks of various Star plants into different kind of energy sources in order to grow them. However, there is a change in the final goal that the players need to achieve, and in this new version, the player controlling B.U.D. needs to find various parts of the robot’s ship, known as M.O.M. The parts of the main ship, i.e. M.O.M. is scattered all over the planet after it crashed into the moon.

There are various new features added in the game, especially B.U.D’s powers. B.U.D. can now scan various plants called Floraforms and can even harness them to gain additional powers. After the plant is scanned, the player can plant that seed anytime to grow it anywhere in the game. This plant can help you jump higher than normal and can even toss the robot high up in the air. One can also gain access to these powers with the help of ability capsules. Apart from that, the player can gain other abilities like gliding, rolling and jetpack by collecting power crystals which remain hidden in the game world. On can even upgrade these powers using these power crystals.

One can progress in the game by reaching multiple checkpoints in the pre-defined time limit. There are various B.U.D. suits to unlock which give different abilities to the main character. For example, the aviator suit allows B.U.D. to glide more than normal, while the bee suit attracts a lot of bugs from the game environment. Grow Up is available under Live Gold from July 1 to July 30 and you can easily claim it for free if you are an Xbox Live Gold Member.

Runbow is the second game released for Xbox One under the Live Gold Membership for the month of July. It is a platform racing video game developed by a team of Canadian indies called “13 AM Games” and was released in August 2015. Initially, Runbow was developed only for Wii U and PC, but now it has been revealed under Games for Gold title for Xbox July 2017.

Runbow is a simple, addictive and multiplayer platform game with a very simple rule, beat your opponents to reach the trophy at the end of the level before anyone else does. However, the best part of this game is that each and every level in the game supports 9-player multiplayer mode which can be competitive or cooperative depending upon the players. All the players have an ability to perform the double jump and attack other players in the game in order to get ahead of them and to get some extra reach while jumping.

You get a lot of obstacles in between the game as well which makes it even more interesting. The background of the game keeps on changing in cycles and you can get obstacles of the same background color which make them harder to detect. There are many modes the players can play like “Time Trial” mode and “Master the Bowhemoth” mode etc. Even if you do not wish to race, you can pick other non-racing modes to enjoy the game with your friends. The players also have an option to customize their players and make them personalized. Runbow will be available to claim under Xbox Live Gold membership from July 16 to August 15.

Kane & Lynch 2

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is the sequel to the old Kane & Lunch that was released in the year 2007. The Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days was released in the year 2010 and is a third-person open world shooter video game developed by IO Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive. The game was initially released for Xbox 360, Windows and PlayStation 3. Kane & Lunch 2: Dog Days allow the user to play in the campaign mode to be Lynch, the main character, who is always backed up by none other than his partner, i.e. Kane. You can play the game in single-player mode as well as in online multiplayer mode. The other person plays the role of Kane in the multiplayer mode. There is an Arcade mode as well in which the player has to accumulate all the money he can while surviving the enemy forces round by round. The game still allows the player to exchange and carry at max two weapons in the game. However, unlike the previous version, you cannot exchange the weapons with your allies but it is possible with enemies.

The game offers a lot of action and adventure elements to the players. One can take cover and hide, regenerate his or her health when knocked down etc. The players can control the allies and give them commands in multiplayer mode. But this scenario is not present in the single player so that you do not have to look out for them every now and then. One bad thing we felt about the game is that it does not offer Split screen co-op mode in the PC version.

The best part about Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is its plot. The the first game you might have seen both the characters parting their ways and Lynch starting his new life in Shanghai. This game starts when Kane reached Shanghai and is asked by Lynch to help him threaten Li Lung (an informant). However, in between, they kill Lung’s wife and the thing goes bad after that. In between, they are forced to perform a lot of other tasks to get rid of the matter and sneak outside the country. Kane & Lynch 2 is available for all Xbox 360 and Xbox One Live Gold subscribers and you can claim it from July 1 to July 15.

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game

Lego games are gaining a lot of popularity nowadays and Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game isn’t anything different. As the name says, this game is a Lego themed action adventure game which has been developed by Traveller’s Tales and was released under Disney Interactive Studios publication. It is also the first Lego game based on a Disney movie, which makes it even special. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean was released in the month of May 2011, for all the major platforms like Windows, OS X, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii etc.

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is based on the story of first four “Pirates of the Caribbean” film but the gameplay stays the same when we compare it to some of the previous popular Lego video games. You will find the same old drop-in/drop-out technique with co-op mechanics in this game. As a player, you start from “The Port” and need to move out in order to unlock the new characters as well as features as you advance in the game. Later in the game, you will find the Port expanding as well as revealing a lot of new area for unlocking these new items. In addition to that, all the character possesses a set of common abilities like swimming under water etc. (but Davy Jones and his crew members have a special ability to walk and breathe underwater as well.) Jack Sparrow is capable of using his compass, Will Turner is capable of throwing axes and Elizabeth Swann has the special ability to jump higher than other characters in the game.

If you are also a Lego lover like us and also have the Xbox Live Gold membership, you can download the game directly for your Xbox One and Xbox 360’s from July 16 till July 31.

Similar to GTA, Watch Dogs also fictionalizes an entire city for the gameplay. In this game, the city is none other than Chicago, Illinois.

The game is the story of a hacker who uses his special abilities and knowledge to take revenge on her recently killed niece. The game is pretty big allowing the players to roam through the urban as well as the sub-urban areas and the countryside too.

This third-person action adventure game is for those who love to play open world games in which the player could interact with uncountable things around him. If you are one of those, you should definitely give it a try. You can get this game for free under Gold membership as well.

Phantom Dust

Phantom Dust is not a new game and was released in the year 2004. This strategy game has been developed as well as published by Microsoft Game Studios only for the Xbox consoles.

Phantom Dust is actually an action and strategy game which takes place after the apocalypse. The main unnamed character needs to interact with few of the leftover outposts in order to find out what actually happened to the earth. As the story progresses, you get a lot of pieces that help you figure out what happened. There is a multiplayer mode as well which allows the player to combat with another online player using their weapons. This game also comes as a bonus with Gold this month.

Gravity Rush 2

The original “Gravity Rush” is a gorgeous, ambitious cult-classic. It was released as an exclusive on Sony’s PlayStation Vita handheld — a portable game console that sold less-than-impressively. Though the original game eventually ended up on other PlayStation platforms, fans (including us) are anxiously anticipating “Gravity Rush 2” — a full-fledged sequel to the original, made for the (far more powerful) PlayStation 4.

In “Gravity Rush 2,” you play the role of Kat: a woman with the ability to manipulate gravity. Take aim at a surface, press a button on the PS4 gamepad, and that surface becomes your new floor. It’s the kind of experience that’s fun enough on its own, without all the gorgeous artistry and mysterious storytelling.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

The latest main series entry in the long-running “Resident Evil” franchise is a bit of a reboot. Unlike the last several games in the series, “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” doesn’t focus on third-person action/combat. Instead, it’s a survival horror game — that means low ammunition and health, with a focus on survival over mastery. It’s also the first major entry in the series to move from third-person to first-person,  and in addition to it can also be played using the PlayStation VR headset with PlayStation 4.

For Honor

“For Honor” is a brand-new game from Ubisoft Montreal, the “Assassin’s Creed” folks — that take thousands of years of human history and blends it into a fantastical slurry. Imagine battling as a Viking warrior against, a Japanese samurai! Or as a medieval knight against one of those two! That’s the gist of “For Honor,” which arrives just in time to pit you and your Valentine against each other.

Halo Wars 2

The “Halo” series is loved by millions. However, the lore of the “Halo” series is loved by a fraction of that overall fanbase, and it’s games like “Halo Wars” that help keep that dedicated fan base loyal. If you love the tales of Master Chief and The Covenant in the first-person shooter series, chances are you’ll enjoy the tactical gameplay of the “Halo Wars” series. While the gameplay is a complete divergence from standard “Halo,” it’s a heavy-hitter in its own genre (real-time strategy games). “Halo Wars 2” looks to carry that torch forward.

Horizon Zero Dawn

From the creators of the “Killzone” series comes “Horizon Zero Dawn,” an action/role-playing game played from the third-person perspective. You’re on a distant-future Earth, where hulking metal dinosaurs seemingly rule the land and humanity has reverted — or evolved? — to some form of neo-tribalism with pseudo-technological underpinnings. If nothing else, it’s gorgeous and packed with giant metal dinosaurs. Why do so few games have dinosaurs?!

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

The latest entry in the Tom Clancy-verse takes place in a sprawling, gorgeous open world that can be navigated with cars, boats, helicopters, planes and more. But why? To take down nefarious drug cartels, of course. Put a stop to the cocaine nightmare on your own or with three friends in a four-player co-op mode that somewhat looks downright chaotic.

Persona 5

To call the “Persona” series a “cult classic” would be to undersell the seriousness of its fandom. The folks that love “Persona” love it with a depth and loyalty most human beings will never understand. On paper, the hooks sound simple: It’s a third-person Japanese role-playing game, with a heavy focus on the bizarre. It’s stylish, memorable and nigh-inscrutable to non-fans. The long-awaited fifth entry is due out worldwide this year, having already launched in Japan many moons ago.

Night in the Woods

If you’re one of the millions of people who left your childhood home, then returned at some point to find it feeling alien, “Night in the Woods” is a game you can relate to. It stars a character named Mae who, after leaving for college and subsequently dropping out, returns to her hometown. Rather than the place she left, she finds it different than she remembers. Also, she’s a cat and everyone in the town is some type of speaking animal. This isn’t a game about interactivity as systems to master, but a game about exploration and storytelling — it’s also critically lauded ahead of its release. Keep an eye out for “Night in the Woods.”

PaRappa the Rapper Remastered

“PaRappa the Rapper,” for millions of people, was an early mainstream introduction to hip-hop. The game is simple: mash the right buttons on the controller along to the music. There’s even a free demo right now if you want to check it out early.

“Rime” is a game seemingly out of another era of game development, when experimental third-person action games were a normal occurrence. It’s a colorful, vibrant puzzle game starring a young boy who wakes up on a mysterious island. Your goal in the game is to figure out what the heck is going on on that island. Where are you? How did you reach there? Where to go? What to do? All these questions are out there on the island. How do you move forward past this puzzle? These are questions likely to be answered by the game when it arrives in May.

Yooka Laylee is a game that will remind you of the glory days of “Super Mario 64,” “Crash Bandicoot,” and “Banjo Kazooie”? The folks behind “Yooka-Laylee” sure hope you do — the same folks who created the bear with a bird in a backpack (“Banjo Kazooie”) are at it again with “Yooka-Laylee,” a 3D action-platforming game. Considering how hard of a time even Nintendo’s had making that genre work in recent years, our expectations aren’t sky-high for “Yooka-Laylee” — but some clever level design and an evolution of the genre could very well be in the cards.
