Fortnite has finally introduced the Season 5 Battle Pass which comes with a lot of new things like new Viking skins and more.
The Season 4 pass was all about Superheroes but Epic Games has decided to focus more on time travel theme with the Viking skins. The Season 5 Battle Pass also comes with 100 tiers of cosmetic rewards which you will have to unlock by earning battle stars. You will be able to earn battle stars when you complete challenges and get XP points.
The Season 5 Battle pass costs 950 V-Bucks or $9.50 and you will be able to buy it from Fortnite’s store during the season. For people who don’t want to buy the pass or want to try before spending their money, they can log in to the game and get a free version of the pass which will allow you to unlock a limited number of things. This is the first time that Epic Games has allowed a free pass to get you the first three challenges of the week without paying anything.
You can unlock the rewards early if you are willing to spend a little more. You can get the alternate version of the Battle Pass that will unlock the first 25 levels for you and this will cost you 2800 V-Bucks. You will also be able to buy further tiers for 150 V-Bucks a tier. If you are someone who is obsessed with the new skins, this will help you grab these new skins faster.
The Season 5 Battle Pass brings challenges one by one so you will be able to progress through the list as you complete the challenges. You don’t have any limitation as to when you want to complete the challenges because Season 5 Battle Pass allows you to do that. The Season 5 Battle Pass will be active for 3 months so you can get started as soon as you get it.
The free users will be able to access 3 challenges per week until the end of the season. They always have a choice to buy the Battle Pass after trying out what it has to offer in the free version.
New Skins, Dances & Emotes
You will be able to see the new skins on the game’s loading screen. The screenshot of the same is added above. From the right to the left, Sun Strider, Rook, The Huntress, Drift, Ragnarok, Redline, and Sledgehammer.
Redline is the female version of an already existing hero, Burnout. Ragnarok can be upgraded to sixth-tier which is his maximum level and on that level, you will be able to see an animal skull or a glowing eyes mask on its face. This small but amazing upgrade will cost you 500,000 XP. Take a look at the image below.
New emotes and dance moves include Gentleman’s Dab, Breakdown and Calculated. The new Season 5 Battle Pass definitely seems interesting and it comes with some sick new skins and dance moves. It is good to see that Epic Games has allowed three challenges per week to people who don’t want to pay for the Battle Pass.
The Season 5 Battle Pass will start selling on 12th July and the season will end on 25th September 2018.
