Shadow of the Tomb Raider was released officially on 14th September and so far, according to the reviews, the game has been an amazing experience for people who pre-ordered it before the release. What’s interesting is that the Season Pass for Shadow of the Tomb Raider is already available for purchase and it comes with some great DLCs.
The game was launched in different variations including the Croft Edition and the Ultimate Edition. Both of them have their own advantages but it is always a thing with the different variations of the games that makes them confusing. Let us take a detailed look at what the Season Pass, the Ultimate Edition and the Croft Edition of the game have to offer to its buyers.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider – Season Pass
The Season Pass for the Shadow of the Tomb Raider comes with some new side-missions that will be a part of the main game. They add a good amount of gameplay time and experience to the main game campaign and allow you to explore the in-game world in much more detail.
The Season Pass will give you 7 more challenge tombs along with 7 weapons, skills, and new outfits. The missions added to the season pass will be narrative in nature and the weapons and outfits will start dropping on 14th September and after that, there will be new content releases every month starting in October 2018.
The season pass costs $29.99 on its own and one of each of the above-mentioned content from the season pass will be exclusive to people who buy the season pass and won’t be available for purchase as a separate item.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider – Ultimate Edition
The Shadow of the Tomb Raider – Ultimate Edition is only available for consoles so you can only buy it for your PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One. Priced at $199, the Ultimate Edition of the game comes with some really nice perks.
The Ultimate Edition comes with the Season Pass included in the package so you don’t have to buy it separately and as mentioned above, the Season Pass includes exclusive content for people who get the season pass and 7 new challenge tombs with narrative side missions along with 7 new outfits, skills and weapons that will be dropped every month starting October 2018.
Apart from that, you get the base game in the Steel Book cover of the game. This is good for those who like collecting these physical copies of the game and this includes a metal art as well. Apart from the added Season Pass, the Ultimate Edition also provides extra digital perks such as the original game soundtrack and three addition weapons and outfits apart from the ones that you get with the season pass.
Leaving the digital perks aside, you also get a few official Shadow of the Tomb Raider physical merchandise such as the Lara’s Climbing Axe Bottle Opener which is shaped exactly like the climbing axe used by Lara Croft in-game. You also get the official Lara Flashlight that has the Shadow of the Tomb Raider logo on it along with a Lara Croft Statue in which she is taking out her machete before going into a battle.
The Ultimate Edition of Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a great choice for collectors who want to have all the digital perks along with the steel box and the official merchandise.
